Skylar Beaumont is a young mind out of Cytopia, graduating with honors from Saltfair All-Girls Academy. They're arguably most well know as their online handle of "solomonym", of which they gained a presence from their Markive Of Our Own works; most famously, "A Land Divided: Civil War". They're also notably the only child of Raine Beaumont.

Personal Life

Skylar was born on June 10th, 2063 to Raine Beaumont and an unknown father. Raine kept the pregnancy a secret from her job as a weathercaster, taking a short leave of absence, and only publicly revealing the existence of Skylar to the general public when Skylar was around three. Skylar lived mostly away from the camera as Raine continued her career, with one exception when they were five. On a special "Bring Your Kid To Work Day" that CCNN aired, Skylar won over hearts by earnestly interrupting their mom to say it was going to rain that day, despite there being no such forecast. This moment was recorded and later uploaded to the internet, forever haunting Skylar throughout their teenage years.

Most of Skylar's academic life is kept private, but it's said they do very well in school, and are set to attend Cybil University in the fall. However, they've been noted to be bad at making friends, and tend to keep to themselves.

Fanfiction

Skylar made their online account "solomonym" when they were 14, allegedly after "daybreakerfan4ever" was taken. "solomonym" is a reference to Dr. Adam "Daybreaker" Solomon, who Skylar has cited as their favorite hero. Skylar started writing a variety of different small fanfictions on MO3, none of which gained much traction. A year later, Skylar first started working with "miraclgrl", a fellow Golden Age of Heroes fan. She would go on to serve as Skylar's main beta and editor, and with her help, Skylar's works started to gain more traction.

In the summer of 2079, Skylar started uploading the first few chapters of "A Land Divided, Civil War", often shorted to just "Land Divided". The story started to gain serious attention on MO3 shortly after being posted, and by October, it had hit the top 100 of most read stories on the site. The concept lead to both major and minor heroes and villains of this current Post-Modern Age of Heroes duking it out, making unlikely allies and enemies as they fight one another. By March 2080, Skylar had achieved over one million words and had a strong following within the Mo3 community. There were issues with the story at the time, but they mostly went quiet in comparison to the love and attention the story was getting.

It would be just short of the story having been ongoing for a year that it started to spread outside of it's intended audience. A wider scrutiny on the idea of writing fanfiction for real people cracked down on "Land Divided" and the MO3 sphere as a whole. The story was criticized for how unnatural the characters within acted, seemingly willing to break moral codes or ally with enemies for the sake of "something shocking" happening. The attention caught the eye of even heroes on Quack, who a variety chimed in with their thoughts on the matter. All in all, the spectacle only lasted about a week, and resulted in Skylar going radio quiet for sometime after. Soon though, they would return, and started to continue to update "Land Divided", albeit slower than before. Skylar never commented on the scandal in the moment, but has gone on record after the fact, calling it "the most embarrassing moment of my life."

The attention did throw "Land Divided" into the top 10 most read stories on Mo3 now. After Penumbra's Parley Massacre, the fanfiction gained a bit of public heat once again, but Skylar quickly made a statement that while it was simply impossible to go back and remove the existence of prolific figures from the story, such as Gemini or ScreenBurn, going forward all participants of the Parley were swiftly written out of the story in what was described as "a lame and silly ass pull, but a necessary one". Most other stories related to the participants of the Parley have also been taken down.

Ditto	ADMIRATION: ★★★ Skylar's boss. Skylar likes Ditto a lot and has fun hanging out with her, and enjoys their silly arrangement of 'doing the work Ditto doesn't want too'. Because Ditto is so chill, however, it's hard for Skylar to know where they stand to him. But they're getting more and more comfortable, and are excited about learning more about their own mental world and Ditto's psychic capabilities.

Jerry	ADMIRATION: ★★★★ Their mootie! Skylar has been online friends with Jerry for a few months now, and considers them a close friend. However, they were unaware that he was a member of SNAKE. And also a serial killer. These two things, especially the latter, really scare Skylar, and considering that he's basically proven himself to be unbeatable... Skylar has decided the best course of action is to try and talk Jerry down from his murderous nature and to be a better person!! ^-^
Sightline & Rocco	ADMIRATION: ★★★★★ Sightline has consistently looked out for Skylar, and it means quite a lot to them. They think Sightline is kind of the coolest, like ever, on a level that isn't quite the same as their normal hero worship. Also, Rocco is such a good dog. Skylar is most likely to go to Sightline if they need advice on something.
Lilou Durand	ADMIRATION: ★★★★ A... friend??? Skylar hopes so! It's a bit weird to Skylar, who's used Lilou's name once or twice in fanfictions as this cool Randwellian hero to realize they're a bit odd, but they're determined to show Lilou all the joys in life. Like pizza.
Joshy	ADMIRATION: ★★ They really like Joshy! They're nice and kind, and Skylar hasn't forgotten how he was the first person to look out for them on base.
