Casey "Gemini" Pollock is a gang prevention hero and lunch lady based in New Chiti. Most people know Pollock around New Chiti for working a lot of odd jobs, although her most well known one is a lunch lady at Grant U. Nelson Charter High. She has gotten noteriety for paying out of pocket to make sure every kid at her underfunded school gets fed, which has made her popular among children. She is very vocally against gang violence and hopes to encourage the youth to a better future. During the Penumbra's Parley Massacre, it was revealed that she was the New Chiti based vigilante hero Gemini, and that she had the Mark ability of cloning. One of her clones (#38523) is one of the only surviving victims of the massacre.

Career

Heroism

Pollock works to combat gangs through both active and behind the scenes methods. Out of her superhero identity she helps children avoid being involved in gang politics and helps them escape gangs where leaving is punished. She also helps raise awareness of the danger to children and parents, along with other softer methods of gang prevention. Within costume, she takes a more active role, messing with major gang activities, de-escalating situations, and getting into fights allegedly only as a last resort. Details of significant events she's been involved in are unclear due to a lack of confirmable information.

Pollock's career in heroism began while she was in her last year of high school. Whether this means her softer gang prevention or her debut as Gemini is unclear. The earliest online mention of Gemini by name can be dated back a decade ago through a twitter message with an attached blurry image. Prior to Gemini's secret identity being made public, this was the only known image of her. However, discussions of a 'stealthy hero who fights gangs' found online from Chitizens predate this message and are believed by some to be referring to Gemini.

Public Presence

Gemini is a secretive hero who prior to the massacre had never made an official public appearance. Sightings of her are most commonly reported at night, however confirmations of these sightings is difficult due to the urban legend level of mystery and rumors surrounding Gemini. It's theorized that the vast amount of rumors involving Gemini were spurred by the fact that her work is done through many clones, which previously was not known information. Sightings of her then could be completely contradictory, making confirmation impossible and causing real sightings to be lumped in with the rumors.

Lunch Lady

Pollock is most well known for being a school lunch lady, and states that it's her favorite job. She's said more than once that her other jobs are just to financially support herself and her hero work, but that this one is her passion.

Other Jobs

Pollock is allegedly employeed at 21 different establishments, ranging from retail to window washing. Notably, she is also employeed at a New Chiti pizza place, which xX_RAD1CALR0DENT_Xx called when the Villains of the Penumbra's Parley Massacre were able to make a phone call.

Personal Life

Pollock was born in New Chiti and has lived her whole life there. She had a normal childhood, getting okay grades, having nice parents, and playing soccer. In Pollock's senior year of high school, a close friend of her's joined a gang and was later killed. This incident was what got her into being a hero.

Casey Pollock has a cousin, Helen Pollock, who owns a ranch. Nando de Cortés y Guerrero had left their horse Trousers with her before the Penumbra's Parley Massacre. In the massacre's third event, titled "Motive Three: Sorry!" she was the family member #38523 would have been able to give a present to if she had won the game of "assassins."

Casey Pollock #38523 is the clone who was trapped in the Penumbra's Parley Massacre. She is allegedly Pollock's longest living clone, as most clones' lifespans are under a day. She is one of the survivors of the massacre, but has managed to escape the public eye. Her current whereabouts are unknown, but is has been stated by Pollock herself that 38523 has not returned to her.

Abilities and Gear

Pollock has been shown to be a proficient marksman, and has formidable fighting capablities. She is physically strong and dexterous. She has stated she trains herself, and that her strength is unrelated to her mark.

As Gemini, Pollock's costume is equipped with some specific gear. She wears a pair of nightvision goggles, and has her face painted in anti-facial recognition makeup. She appears to have a shirt with a set of gloves permanently attached to the sleeves. Her costume has 2 gun holsters. Gemini has allegedly been seen taking guns from gang members, perhaps answering the question of how she can supply her many clones with weapons. However, as with all reports of Gemini, this may just be a rumor.

Mark

Pollock's mark is Temp Twins, which gives her the ability to make an exact copy of herself, and then to dissolve that version so long as she is within a meter, quite literally in a snap. Clones are seperate entities, if a clone is injured then it doesn't affect the original and vice versa. Clones have their creation number on their stomach, resembling a mark. If a clone is killed then they decompose at a much faster rate than a normal human. Clones are identical to the original at the moment she created them, both biologically and mentally. However, clones can deviate from the original, holding different thoughts and opinions.

Temp Twins does not transfer memories or experiences over to Pollock, when a clone is dissolved they just disappear. Information sharing between clones and the original has to be done verbally or through writing, there is no mental connection between them.

Pollock would previously only keep clones for as short-term as possible, however she's stated that after watching the Massacre's broadcast she's been reconsidering that method.

• The name of Pollock's mark was chosen by the public after it was made known during the Penumbra's Parley Massacre. Pollock herself has only referred to it as 'cloning'.
• The original Casey Pollock is often referred to as "Casey Prime", a nickname coined by Moxie Divine. While #38523 has called her that, the original has never stated approval or disapproval for this nickname. Despite being thought up by the controversial villain Moxie Divine, this nickname has stuck and is used frequently in discussions of Gemini.
• Pollock has allegedly seen Jerma985 at a large family reunion, implying that they are related in some way.
• Despite her strong dislike of gang leaders, #38523 formed a strong alliance with the leader of the Janitors, Boss, during the Penumbra's Parley Massacre.
• In May 2081 Gemini was added to Fortnite.
