Penumbra's Parley Massacre was a killing game and massacre that took place over 27 days in Castle Penumbra. Originally planned to be a peace summit, Pestläkare and Nine Lives took control of it and turned it into a killing game to avoid the release of CY-009. Midway through the game, Nine Lives betrayed her accomplice and broadcasted the parley, resulting in the release of the deadly virus anyway. Control was taken from Nine Lives by Moxie Divine, who was a hidden hand behind the scenes, and pushed the the parleyers further into the game.

The parleyers were kept trapped in Castle Penumbra by a giant wall automated with weapons. Additionally, each parleyer was also trapped by the lanyard around their neck, which could kill or incapacitate them via both strangulation and electrocution.

"Motives"

The Massacre had various events designed to cause distrust among the parleyers and motivate them to kill each other called "motives". The first 4 motives can be assumed to have been thought up by Pestläkare. She cites the video game franchise Danganronpa as inspiration for the concept. The massacre had 6 events that were classified as motives.

Cluedo

The parleyers were asked a series of questions about each other that they answered privately. Whoever got the most questions correct would be spared from having the worst aspects of themselves amplified. The technology to cause that outcome was assumedly stored in the lanyands. This motive ended in a tie, causing no one to to be spared from the penalty.

Mad Libs

Once again the parleyers were asked questions, however in this case it would be a question about themselves in order to probe out a secret. Parleyers could gain points for their team (hero or villain) by answering truthfully. Lying would cost them a point instead. The question would be asked publically. Whatever team won the most points would be able to make a phone call to the outside world. The villains ended up gaining the most points, and xX_RAD1CALR0DENT_Xx used the phone call to contact one of Casey Pollock's other clones at her job.

Sorry!

Parleyers were made to partake in a game where they were given a target to "assassinate" by either stabbing them in the back with a spoon, hitting them in the face with water, or making them stand on a piece of paper labelled "spike pit". Correctly assassinating a target eliminates them from the game and gives the "assassin" the target their victim had. The targets were only referred to through code names, leaving the parleyers to guess who they really were. If a parleyer assassinated the wrong target, they would lose an assassination method. If they assassinated the wrong target three times they would be eliminated.

The reward for being the last parleyer still in the game was being able to send a present to a family member. The penalty for being eliminated was that if the eliminated parleyer had a Mark it would be altered. The winner of this motive was Mitsu Nomura.

My Candy Love

The original plan for this motive was apparently called "Monopoly" according to the files found in the server room. Based on the intent of this motive to unite the remaining parleyers, and the fact they could gain points by causing Pestläkare mild harmless inconvenience, it can be assumed that this motive was caused by Nine Lives.

Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots

This motive was very simple, at least comparatively- the parleyers were attacked by robots and had to defeat as many as they could. Pestläkare had already died by this time, and Nine Lives' did not want anyone else to get hurt at this point, so the person behind this motive was likely Moxie Divine or perhaps Martin Copperfield.
