CY-009 was an infectious man-made disease that targeted the marked population and ravaged The Land in September of 2080. It was made by Pestläkare and intended to be a cure for Marks, however it instead killed the Marked individual. The symptoms come in four stages: starting with fever and pespiration, then mild to severe anaphylaxis, then seizures and muscle spasms, and finally the disease kills the individual through organ failure. It was released during Penumbra's Parley Massacre. A miracle cure for CY-009 was found by Moxie Divine during the massacre, and the miracle cure has since been turned into a vaccine to ward off infection. It is now considered eradicated.
