Jules Knightley is a vigilante and hero from New Chiti, having formerly worked at Valiente & Knightley. She's well known for her armor, custom-made after a particular incident in which she was attacked in the courtroom, forcing her to use her mark to defend herself. She's unwavering in her vision of justice, going to far lengths in order to bring what she believes is her vision of peace to New Chiti. Her new set of armor, however, is not currently associated with her true identity.
Career
Valiente & Knightley
Jules was one of the two main firm partners in Valiente & Knightley, partnering up with Val to try to bring some justice to New Chiti. Being in New Chiti, she frequently needs to bend the law in order to ever get anywhere. Criminals around Pawny all know that when she's involved with a case, it'll take quite the force to keep her from getting her justice. However, her insistence on justice and the lengths she will go has made her a controversial figure to some. Some see her as a slimy lawyer, others see her as an actual force for good. Her employee and private investigator for the firm, Ripley Pond, commonly helps her on her cases. The Godot Family are her biggest opponent, and the syndicate she wishes to take down the most.
Personal Life
Not much is known about Jules's personal life, other than her having a nice apartment in New Chiti, and how she used her money to help pay off her parents' house.
Abilities and Gear
Judge, Jury, and Executioner
Jules's mark allows her to summon a saber composed of a golden handle and a blade of red light, known as Conviction. On Conviction, two scales exist, one facing Jules, and one away. The scales' tilt determines the strength of Conviction, and at its extremities, JJE can either boost Jules's physical strength or weaken it. At the positive extremity, Conviction can cut through practically anything, at its weakest, it's practically a 50lb pool noodle. The conditions for what exactly makes the scales tilt are kept secret.
Note: The blade's light itself doesn't actually extend outwards like it does in the original ref. It's more like a lightsaber and the former fic writer who popularized the incorrect design has been lambasted by the public and temporarily shamed off of Mo3.
After the RAGE Truck Raid Incident, she and Val are no longer working together, with Jules making a larger focus on her life as a vigilante, changing her armor and adopting a harsher view of what she needs to do.
Knight's Armor
Custom-made by Lady Blanche, Jules used to white armor with a gold trim, similar to what a knight would wear. It's quite lightweight, but still remains quite protective.
It was then modified by Teagan Hoover, who gave her a new helmet with a voice changer, as well as a new coat of paint, with a taser, propulsion on the boots, knockout gas, and an attachment to change the color of Conviction and hide the scales.
