Arthur Quinn is a villain who has commited crimes ranging from petty theft to grand larceny in nearly every city-state of the Land. Despite being known for theft, Arthur has self-imposed the title of 'treasure hunter'.

Career

Arthur's crimes are exhaustively detailed by the social media posts he himself makes. He has the unconventional habit of announcing his own heists online hours to minutes before they take place, and has no qualms with drawing the attention of authorities or admitting to his crimes before or after the fact. In fact, despite ostensibly being a thief, he seems to put very little effort into stealth or hiding, and his heists have often been described as more theatrical than anything else– involving lots of flashy stunts, quips, and ostentation. They also very rarely get violent, despite the fact that he normally carries weapons on his person. He primarily targets low to mid-profile museums, banks, and casinos–though he shows no consistent pattern in places he'll target, and seems highly spontaneous in the city-states he visits, never staying in one place for too long.

In nearly every post he makes about his own crimes, Arthur brags about how he does them all himself without needing the help of anyone else—in fact, he appears to view this as the single most important part of being a villain. He has also stated that he shouldn't be prosecuted for crimes that are "objectively awesome", though apparently he'd like to see people try. His first quack post under the username @treasurehunterextraordinaire is dated to June 6th, 2080.

Personal Life

Very little is known about Arthur's personal life–even his city-state of origin is unclear. Based on his social media posts, when he's not "treasure hunting", he enjoys the luxuries of various 5-star hotels around The Land, and seems to have a penchant for gambling. He claims, repeatedly and consistently, to work alone, and shows no signs of having friends, family, or even allies.

Mark

Arthur's mark, "Just a Phase", allows him to become intangible and phase through objects. He's also able to imbue this property onto anything he holds or wears, and does not need to make his whole person intangible–he can select only certain parts and keep the rest of himself intact. It's theorized this intangibility is a result of him manipulating the density of the atoms in his body, though it's not actually clear how this works on an atomic level.

Other capes in the past with similar marks have been able to achieve significant feats–for instance, being able to destabilize electronics by phasing through them (and, similarly, being able to mess with the bioelectrical system of the human brain, effectively being able to knock someone out by phasing through their skull), being able to climb walls or even walk on air with significant effort, and being immune to telepathic attacks while phasing. It's unknown whether Arthur himself has the ability to do these things, given he doesn't appear to use his mark for much other than breaking and entering.

Trivia

• Arthur has claimed, on separate occasions, that his middle name is "Danger", "Badass", and "Motherfucking". Whether any of these words are his actual middle name is unclear.
• Aside from the 100 most common Landian words, the most frequent word to appear in Arthur's quacks is "solo", and the phrase "solo act" occurs in Arthur's collection of quacks no less than 231 times.
• Arthur once made a quack asserting he had recieved a PhD in Badassery with a minor in Lone Wolfitude from the School of Hard Knocks. In a reply, hero Eye Guy clarified his real degree was in Quirkology. What this means is uncertain.
• The treasure hunter costume Arthur normally wears can be bought at Spirit Halloween for 26 doubloons.
• Arthur's Heropedia account, Treasurehunterextraordinaire, is banned from editing this page due to repeatedly changing his mark level to tenet.

Notable Relationships
REMIX	The first person he fought on base, Arthur has been obsessed with REMIX for weeks. He’s only recently realized why, and since Must Come Down, has been caught in a whirlwind of love and loss like he’s never experienced before... He wishes he didn’t spend so much time trying to beat them, and spent any time actually talking with them. He wishes they could’ve dated. He wishes they were still here. He wishes he’ll be able to honor their sacrifice, and carry on their work as well as they did, but right now all he wants to do is cry about it.
Vincent Noble	The person that Arthur has known the longest who hasn’t also tried to kill him. And that’s still true! Arthur doesn’t see anything wrong with what Dr. Noble did. It was funny. Plus, he wouldn’t even turn on Noble if he DID think it was wrong. This is his childhood doctor we’re talking about, someone he can trust, the only person who really understands what’s going on with him… that hasn’t changed.
The King Of Hearts	At first, Arthur was playing up the father-son thing so he could gain Benji’s trust to eventually get back at him for…gasp…worrying about him and supporting him? But he’s realized now how comforting it is to have someone like that in his life, especially at such a low point. He’s worried about how everyone else in Arthur’s life would feel about him being so close with Benji, but… Benji’s proud of him, he basically said it. That’s more important to Arthur than nearly anything. And of course he had to lie about the photograph. He DOESN'T want Benji to hate him anymore, so why bother with a confrontation?
Acedia Reed	Benji’s right. She lies about everything. What if she thinks he’s a joke? What if every bit of praise she’s ever given him was some kind of cruel prank? And how’s he ever going to tell? Plus she hurt Elliott. How mad should he be? Is it wrong if he forgives her? What happens now?
Bleeding Heart	Arthur doesn’t really consider peoples’ wants and needs very often if they aren’t his. Having Blaine fall asleep on his shoulder made him remember he actually has those, and more than that, made him realize they might not be being met… why isn’t this guy taking care of himself? Eye Guy	Arthur and Lisa are like… Kind of friends now? It’s really weird, but Arthur doesn’t mind. They’re a lot more similar than he thought, and she seems to want to help fulfill Elliott’s last wishes and carry on their work… which he supposes is a good thing, since without someone keeping him accountable he might chicken out and stay at home grieving.
Clockwork Owl	A while back, Arthur tried to rob Coretech and got the shit beat out of him by the Clockwork Owl. He's been terrified of her ever since––his literal first message in the whole roleplay was him screaming when he first saw her, and his interactions with her have not gone well since. She's one of few people who can actually get the guy to shut up, mostly by horrifying him.
TYCHE	Arthur likes Tyche. She’s fun. That familiarity is starting to eat away at him, though, and going on a heist with her made it worse. She seems unfocused and a little reckless (sorry, your onreveal makes us need to like you less), but he doesn’t mind too much. And he’s not bitter about her seeming to have a positive relationship with her sister. Btw
Admiral Lionfish	The last person he can talk to who's known him for more than two months and doesn't want him to die. Things are pretty rough with his actual family right now, so he's unbelievably glad Mika is on his side. Even if she loves to piss him off. He'll show her he's cool enough to deserve a severed head one day!!!
Ripley Pond	Arthur secretly thinks detectives are REALLY COOL, and has always wanted an awesome detective rival. But his relationship with the real thing is rocky, marred by Ripley...you know...catching him in the act like a detective would? And giving Arthur a spinebreaker––but Arthur's actually not too mad about that, and in fact would've been offended if Ripley held that back. He still thinks Ripley is cool, despite everything.
General Hiss	Snakes? You guys are on your own. Arthur REALLY wants to get back at Hiss for blackmailing him––but given how delicate the situation is, he's not going to move in unless he has something bulletproof.
Sightline	He's alright
Krah	Arthur accidentally spilled a ton of secrets while monologuing to Krah, thinking they were a bird, and freaked out at them when he realized they could turn into a person. That, combined with Krah denting their CINQUE cards, made Arthur FURIOUS. He seems to have an odd relationship to birds in general, showing bird Krah an unusual amount of kindness, and also, at Krah’s supposed ‘betrayal,’ remarking that he couldn’t believe this had happened “again”.
The Merchant	What a condescending prick. Arthur sees every attempt the Merchant takes to be helpful as some kind of indication that the Merchant thinks she’s better than him, which pisses him off to no end. He’s robbed them in the past, but can’t do it again as apparently one of her new shipments is for Benji––which The Merchant, again, kindly warned him of, making him furious.
Agent 69	Villains Inc is one of the places Arthur tried to rob and failed, and Cancer terrified him about it the first day they were on base. He terrified him further when Arthur watched him kill a guy on their mission together. Overall, though, lackeys just aren't impressive, so Arthur doesn't think much of him and (unlike the more powerful villains on base) doesn't feel a need to prove anything to him.
Petra Knoxveil	Arthur thinks Remilia is a fucking idiot, but can't properly articulate why. He's willing to forget all the annoying bullshit about her forgetting his name, because she wants a fresh start, and Arthur knows how that feels. So he'll treat her the way he treats everyone else, i.e. like shit.
Jerry	Arthur actually really appreciates it when people try to hurt him, because it makes him look really cool when he avoids it, so Arthur doesn't mind Jerry as much as he thought he would. Being called gay is annoying, though.
Jules Knightley	Jules is technically blackmailing him with the rumor about his old team, which is terrifying, because everyone is supposed to think he's a solo act and always was. Luckily, she's being pretty lenient about it. He still hates her though––especially for implying on multiple occasions that he's GAY like the FUJOSHI SHE IS
Teagan Hoover	Annoying fuck. "Yar har har" my dick, who does he think he is? And talk about dead weight!
REMIX, Mx. Cupid, Eye Guy, TYCHE	Arthur's housemates at 5 Aurora Ave. He hates all of them, as well as the fact that he has to room with people in the first place, and usually phases into his room through the back wall so he never has to interact with any of them thinks they're mostly all right.
