Remilia Warwick, otherwise known as Cattail, is a daredevil, wannabe hero, and indie wrestler from Cytopia and was one of The Knoxveils. Trained and taught by her butler turned father figure, Hugo Warwick, she's erratic, impulsive, and has a strong mark she knows how to use. Thankfully for Project Perihelion, she's on their side. She didn't join for any noble reasons, though. She originally just joined because it sounded fun. Now, after all of the things she has learned and experienced, she's here because she wants to genuinely help people.
Career
Remilia is an indie wrestler for Cytopian Elite Wrestling, where she wrestles as a high flying heel, even having a stint as champion. Her usual finisher, Deep Blue, involves her roundhouse kicking her opponent directly in the face to knock them out. Her other, more protected, finisher, is Red Dawn, a move where she flips over the top rope into a combat roll, and launches up to uppercut her opponent. Her gimmick is a cocky heel who has seen way too much anime from the 2010s and 2020s (hence the ring name Lady Gojo).
Additionally, she also films a series of her doing stupid stunts called "Cytopian Jackass" after being inspired by seeing the original movies from long ago. Her usual repetoire of stunts includes doing things that would kill a normal person (like falling from a plane) but with the use of her mark, little to no harm actually comes to her.
She did not do any of the above for the money, it's just because it's fun.
After some developments involving her motivations change from having fun to being the best version of herself she can be, she moved to Draywood, in an attempt to start over there, in a better place, wanting to become a professional hero (and possibly doing some stunt work and wrestling on the side), helping out those like her who were lonely and need a family.
Personal Life
Remilia's personal life is a mystery to most. According to her, from a young age she was trained and taught by her butler, Hugo. She has not been allowed to leave the Knoxveil Compound for her entire life, even after she became 18. Her guards as well as Hugo would put a stop to any escape attempts she had until she finally grew old and strong enough to be able to power her way out of there. She always came back, but every time she leaves her guards do what they can to keep that from happening without any permanent or lingering injuries.
As a result of her training and tutoring under Hugo, Remilia has gained a very strong understanding of her mark, and is quite intelligent when it comes to the sciences and math, despite how she acts.
This does not mean that Remilia has that strong of a memory, though. She has not seen her parents since her 17th birthday, since they do not live with her, and according to her, only come by at her birthdays. On her 18th, 19th, and 20th birthdays, she was sick, so she did not see them. What is known about them is that they are rich, and have funded everything Remilia has needed. Otherwise, they have had no real involvement in Remilia's life. Hugo, for all intents and purposes, is her parent.
Remilia, after being exposed to more of the outside world properly through perihelion, learned about how horrible the way she was raised was. Eventually, Yuze Astor was able to help Remilia learn what really happened to her her last few birthdays, and that she was only truly born to be a weapon for the Knoxveils. She's since then completely rejected the Knoxveils, changing her whole identity to become someone she's truly comfortable being, even if she hasn't fully figured herself out yet. She considers Hugo to be her father, and considers the Knoxveils to simply be monsters who made her.
Remilia is also obsessed with anime and manga from the 2010s and 2020s, having gotten access to some years ago, and has binged many of them in her home theater.
She also does not consider herself to be fully human, regardless of any body modifications done to her by Theseus. In her eyes how she was raised made her never truly human, and she feels more comfortable with herself by saying she isn't truly human, but just something else.
Abilities & Equipment
Red and Blue
Remilia's mark, Red and Blue, allows her to more or less control a pseudomagnetic force. From the character sheet:
From either of her marks on the palm of her hands, she can release a projectile up to 50ft, marking either an entire object or a 10ft diameter of it if too large as either Red or Blue. She may also mark herself. Only two objects can be marked at once. These objects will faintly glow the color they're marked as while marked.
Upon activation, objects marked both red and blue will be drawn towards each other, and stick together, with the objects taking no damage upon collision (only with the marked object). Objects that are too heavy will not move (but the force still acts on them).
If instead both objects are marked Red or both Blue, they will be repelled away from each other. Objects that are too heavy will not move (but the force still acts on them).
Remilia has learned how to switch the color of an object at will, as well as unmark only one object at a time. Objects can be unmarked and color switched at will.
Other Abilities/Equipment
Remilia is a versatile fighter, commonly using her mark to perform acrobatic feats such as jumping dozens of feet in the air and landing without a scratch on her, levitating, attaching herself to the back of a train, the list goes on.
Her main weapons of choice are two shot puts she controls with her mark for maximum effect. The balls are the right size and weight to do major damage to anyone they hit, while still being small and light enough to be easily manipulatable with her mark.
Thanks to Tyff Consequences, she now has access to her claws as well. They're two gloves that have metal claws on the fingertips, allowing her to shred whatever she comes across. Additionally, she can shoot out claws from her fingertip with her mark to hit an enemy from far away. Each claw is connected to a cable as well, allowing her to provide power to it and shock the enemy once the claw has penetrated them. They also have a bit of cloth between the pointer fingers and thumbs, with a small reticle on it, to help her aim more difficult to hit shots.
When she doesn't want to use them, however, she is very adept at using the environment to her advantage in fights, marking people's clothes to pin them to walls or the ceiling, or if she really wanted to, she could use it to smash people against said walls and ceiling. She's constantly thinking of cool things she can do with her mark, and she's not afraid to push those limits.
Trivia
| Notable Relationships | |
|---|---|
| Hugo Warwick |
Hugo is Remilia's butler turned father figure, and at least until coming to Perihelion, the only person in her life that actually ever seemed to care about her. He taught her all she needed to know about fighting and how to use her mark to its fullest. Was recently revealed to have **poisoned** Remilia on each of her birthdays, to protect her from The Knoxveils. Despite that, she still really loves him, and looks up to him as her father. |
| Spades |
Spades reminds Remilia of Hugo, and so she looks up to him, and wants to make him proud. Lowkey a father figure for her. She's one of the very few people able to see Spades's true body, and she subconsciously recognizes the level of trust he has in her. She'll gladly help him out however she can. |
| Krah |
Krah is the first friend Remilia ever truly made. She cares about Krah a lot. After seeing what happened with Krah's mark, Remilia is trying to help Krah figure out what exactly happened, as well as making them be fully comfortable with it. They're one of the people she's closest with in general, so she's truly motivated to make Krah happy. |
| Midas |
She wants to like Midas. She really does. She knows it would make things so much easier if they got along. But he disrespected Blaine when they argued, and got into quite a fight. At least now, she's on better terms with him. He may not truly get or like Remilia and her identity, but that's alright. Now that they're roommates, she's going to do whatever she can to keep the peace. |
| Bleeding Heart |
After bonding with him during their time on base, they've become adoptive siblings (even if the feeling isn't fully reciprocated yet), and she loves him so much. Being one of the few people to actually teach her about life and being so full of love, he's had a significant impact on her personality, motivations, and goals. She just wants him to be happy. |
| Vincent Noble |
He killed Head and Torso. He killed her friend. That was her friend. She loved spending time with them. Now they're dead. Dead and defiled because of him. He made her forget one of the best days of her life, and would gladly hurt her and anyone else she cares about for his own goals. He is even worse than Razzmatazz. He should die. He needs to die. He's the worst. The absolute worst. |
| Mika Hamasaki |
Remilia thinks she's incredibly cool. One of the coolest people on base. She used her as the basis for Theseus's transplant, and is going to try and be better friends with her in the future. She wants to be more like her one day. In the leadership department, that is. She's... not feeling the best about the whole murder thing. Still, she did at least (probably) help protect Blaine during his mission, and so that does override some of her hestiations about Mika. |
| Mx. Cupid |
Mx. Cupid is an inspiration for Remilia. Despite having not the best interactions with each other at the start, they've quickly become truly close. Remilia sees Cupid as a true role model, and she really genuinely cares about her more than most others. She has been one of the kindest people on base to her, helping her out and being a rock for her to (sometimes literally) lean on and cry on. When she grows up, she wants to be like Mx. Cupid. |
| Acedia Reed |
Blanche made her suit many weeks ago, as well as her wrestling gear. She's really grateful, even if Blanche used her (former) family name as a way to know she could charge a lot. Blanche offered to help her learn to talk to people soon, and she's grateful for that. She really doesn't care that she's secretly Acedia Reed, she doesn't know who that is nor is she going to hold it against her. She's helping her, and that's what matters. |
| Kyouko Okada |
She has a complicated relationship with Kyouko. She doesn't want to hate her. She hates that feeling. Kyouko doesn't *trust* her though, and rightfully so! She's still very new to the very idea of just socializing or hero work, and frequently comes off the wrong way. Remilia's immature, even if she is trying to get better. After talking with Mx. Cupid, she's going to try and make a better effort with her. |
| Arthur Quinn |
Really didn't like him for a long time because of how he acts, especially about Blaine. But, they did recently come to an agreement and seem to be working to get better after talking about names and family. Lowkey happy for Blaine that he's dating him- has no idea about the homewrecking. Oof. |
| Marco Decatur |
Her new mentor, and... father figure(?) on base. She's still a little apprehensive about him being Randwellian, but ever since he said she could consider him her pops on base, she's come to really appreciate him a lot more. Part of her motivation behind her expedition to the Ebon Woods was to try and impress him. |
| Razzmatazz |
Shot her while she was trying to protect John. She despises Razz above all else. She killed her friend. She shot her crying and vulnerable friend in the head without a second thought. She is a true monster. |
| Joshy |
She and Joshy are good friends on base, and her making a cake for her birthday party was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for her. She really does feel comfortable around Joshy, but at the same time is really worried after what happened in class that Joshy hates her. |
| Henrik Rosen |
He was so nice to her. He reached out a helping hand to her when she really needed it. It made her so happy. Still, she feels horrible for how class went, thinking it was all just a big mistake. She appreciates it, but feels like she'll never fit in there. |
| Tyler Bonnie |
One of Remilia's friends on base, she cares about the guy. Their sparring match was fun, and he's quite a chill guy. Like the others from class, though, she still does worry he hates her now. |
| STARGAZE |
She's been nothing but an asshole to her since day 1. She goes out of her way to constantly antagonize Remilia, and for what? Remilia's had enough of her, and just wants to be done with her. She doesn't really care that she broke her arm or told her no one loves her- the first was an accident and the second was her fighting back in her eyes. She's sick of her. Unlike the rest of the others in class, she really doesn't care if she hates her now. |
| Ripley Pond |
Ripley's an odd case for her. On one hand, he's niceish, seems to treat her well. On the other, class went horrifically, he stopped her when she tried to just slip out without making a scene, and then when he did try talking to her, oh man. Just walking away from her like that after saying he'll be there for her is certainly one way to get her to be weary of him. |
| Flick Sinclair |
Surprisingly, he's been fairly nice to her? Well, outside of the cat food incident, but, she didn't take that as a slight on her. He helped her understand herself a little better, and at least being one of the other animal people on base lets her relate to him a little bit more, even if it's not the same. She feels comfortable with the guy, more than he feels about her, probably. |
| The Changeling |
She wants to like her. She so does. But she can't. Constance has been nothing but a nuisance to her despite her trying her best. She wants to help her see the good in herself and how she is more than a role to play and an actual person deserving of more. She thinks people deserve that. But Constance just rejects that because Remilia is too socially stunted to understand the best way to convey that, and it's resulted in the two currently hating each other. |
| Butterscotch |
She cannot escape Remilia's affection forever |
She heavily enjoys having people pat her on the head.
The only time anyone has ever kicked out of Red Dawn is in the match she lost the CEW championship to "The Cytopian Nightmare" Brody Kingston.
