UniTeam is a military-based superhero team from the Republic of Randwell. Led by Commander Randy, the group supports values like charity, teamwork, honesty, and friendship, and works endlessly to make the people of Randwell remember the city’s motto.

History

The five members are all from wildly different backgrounds and places but met online, then later at military training. Their friendship and bond was so strong they requested to be put on a squad together, and after many successful escapades where they resolved intense conflict with their combined powers and good moral values, The Republic promoted them to be their own autonomous squadron. They became the most popular superhero team in Randwell, veritable mascots, often televised taking down baddies like ScreenBurn every Saturday morning. Some suspect them of being more propaganda weapons than real heroes but others will point out the great work they do to make the world a better place, both on and off the field.

Members

Listed in rainbow order, as it is the order they introduce themselves when fighting the villain of the week.

Red Commander

Randall Dahlberg is the leader, son of another military general born in Northern Randwell by a training base. Charismatic, cool-headed, responsible, and always putting Randwell and good values first. When his mark is activated, it makes anyone with the Commander in view unable to concentrate on anything else without being distracted by some facet of his movements, words, appearance, etc. Weapons specialization? All of them.

Yellow Lightning

Yolotl Sochil, from the city center and most urbanized part of Randwell, often works the comms and area control with their mark, "Easy Breezy" that allows them to control the weather. They aren't much of a fighter despite their powerful mark, and are known to be shy and avoid public appearances without the rest of the team. Often thought of as the 'brains' of the team, though in actuality Randall remains the lead strategist.

Green Beret

Georgia O'Davis came from a ranch down south close to Apopka Lights and is the only markless member of the team. She's an expert markswoman, skilled in all kinds of guns, pistols, snipers, rifles, automatic and manual. Known for her 'southern belle' cowgirl charm and friendly personality, she rivals Commander Randy in public appearances and often works as a model or spokesperson promoting various products.

Blue Guardian

Billie Bradshaw was a lifeguard on the eastern beaches of Randwell before his conscription. His mark "Water Pressure Power" enhances his strength and durability when in water[1]. As the brash, stubborn, reckless muscle of the group, he often butts heads with the commander over decisions. However, he is deeply loyal to his friends in the end. He specializes in close quarter combat and blunt instruments. In his spare time, he does stand-up comedy.

Violet Phantom

Vanessa Vương is the most mysterious member of the group, from a remote village far west only recently incorporated into the Republic. She never speaks during any public appearance and is the 'stealth' hero of the group, using blades and sneaking behind enemy lines with her mark "Kawarimi no Jutsu" that allows her to swap places with other people, or swap similar sized objects. Occasionally a dangerous wildcard, she is suspected to be more loyal to the UniTeam itself than Randwell as a whole, and can go too far just to test her abilities.

Trivia

  • On Mo3, the most popular ship is the tag is Red/Green, followed by Green/Violet and Red/Blue. Red/Green is often argued to be more "canon" since the pair make a lot of public appearances together but Green/Violet fans will bring up reports of the two being childhood friends and candid photos of the two spending time outside of work together. Red/Blue fans just like yaoi.
  • Georgia volunteered for military service when she realized all four of her favorite people were being conscripted at the same time.
  • While it's easy to misinterpret Billie as a bully for his loud attitude, he's got a big heart, too big sometimes. He has that shounen anime outlook where he thinks he can solve everything with enough belief and hard work, and Randall has to rein him back into reality. He's just a really emotional, sensitive, empathetic guy who can't always think logically.
  • While the group has been very close their whole lives, being superheroes can be pretty stressful, and tensions flare every now and then. Georgia primarily keeps the group cooperative and would quit the military if not for the UniTeam.
  • Vanessa is not actually a quiet person, the PR team just tells her she's not allowed to talk in public because of the things she would say.
  • Georgia is the only one who can beat Vanessa in an one on one fight.
  • Randall and Billie do the most charity work and occasionally make a friendly competition out of it. Yolotl, ever the pushover, is often pressured to judge and arbitrate the winner in whatever obscure competition comes up.
  • Since Yolotl's solo appearances are so rare, they're often interpreted to be a lot more cutesy-shy than they really are.
  1. Blood counts as water. He doesn't have to be fully submerged, although that makes him a juggernaut, just damp.
