While superheroes are not a solely Land phenomenon, they seem to be an emblem of the country. The classifications of eras of superherodom in the Land was created by leading superhero historian Kirby Claremont in 2042.
The Golden Age of Heroes
The Golden Age of Heroes spans from 1980, when the solar flare originally hit and gave birth to Marked individuals and superheroes alike to 2000, the turn of the century. The Golden Age is characterized by simplified power set and hero gimmicks, more straightforward approaches to vigilantism and the like as the concept of it was just being broached. This era is largely considered the hayday of heroes, for most of the rules and stigma that inhibited Marked individuals and superheroes were yet to be implemented. Some of the most iconic heroes to grace the Land come from this era, including Daybreaker. Examples of Golden Age heroes and villains include:
Heroes
- Daybreaker aka Dr. Adam R.A. Solomon
- Icarus aka Jude Diadalos II
- Miracle Girl aka Iris Winters
- Snowboy aka William "Billy" Grayson
- The Brawny Braniac aka James "Jim" McCarthy
Villains
- Sickle aka Raphael Payne
- The King of Marks aka Cecil Allrich
- Hurricane Jane aka Jane Minakshi
- Bonbon and Clyve aka Bonbon Nakamoto and Clyve Dizon
- High Boss aka Zane E. Copperfield
The Silver Age of Heroes
The Silver Age of Heroes spans from 2001, the turn of the century, to 2020. The Silver Age marks a departure from the simplicity of the Golden Age into more diverse heroes with different approaches and unique power sets never before seen. It was also very much affected by a lot of the new vigilantism and Marked laws put in place during the last 20 years. It can be considered a bit more mature in age, though still sanitized for the sake of public image. Examples of Silver Age heroes and villains include:
Heroes
- Encantado aka Antonio Silva
- Badger aka Reed Buckley
- Overgrowth aka Asha Kasongo
- Smokescreen aka Kenzo Yamada
- Hellbent aka Markus Wilder
Villains
- Merry-Go-Round aka Anna Fender
- Aftershock aka Leonidas Stavros
- Danger Silva aka Marcos Silva
- Palaci aka Erna and Ernest von Brandt

The Bronze Age of Heroes
The Bronze Age of Heroes spans from 2021 to 2040. The Bronze Age ushered in an all-new, all-different era of heroes. Heroes tended to trend younger and younger at starting ages, which isn't unheard of, but was more common in the Golden Age than the during the maturity of the Silver Age. There seemed to be more rebellion against the laws that inhibited the Silver Age, returning some edginess to heroes that was lost before. Examples of Bronze Age heroes and villains include:
Heroes
- Rocketman aka Gabe Kelsey
- Lady Luck aka Trinh Ng
- Mirror aka Juni Littlestar
- Lifeblood aka Bella Lakatos
- Okkult aka Anastasia Dostoevsky
Villains
- The Ire Twins aka Desmond and Desiree Ire

The Modern Age of Heroes
The Modern Age of Heroes spans from 2041 to 2060. It was during this era that this classification system was devised. The Modern era was heavily influenced by both the pinnacle of the high-tech boom within the land, alongside building off the now 6 decades of former heroism to grapple with. Heroes were weirder than ever, to put it succinctly. Heroes that trended popular were ones that weren't anything like the popular heroes of the past. Examples of Modern Age heroes and villains include:
Heroes
- Tesseract aka Felix Tesseract
- Kamikaze aka Joseph Kusonoki
- -
Villains
- High Boss aka Martin Copperfield
- Operant Operator aka Dr. Kirby Brankovich

Post-Modern Age of Heroes
The Post-Modern Age of Heroes spans from 2061 to 2080, the beginning of the plague. The Post-Modern era was defined by a near dissolution of preconceived notions of what makes someone a superhero and what made someone a supervillain. Subversions of the superhero role altogether were common. Alongside that, the Post-Modern era was most known for its heroes with widely strange and specific Marks, unlike the simple and succinct powers that were the hallmark of the Golden Age. In fact, powers have been getting weirder as time has gone on, and the Post-Modern era is the most indicative of this trend. Interestingly enough, the theory that Marks would evolve into more specific and strange iterations was posited back in 2002 by Dr. Adam R.A. Solomon, the leading Mark researcher. Examples of Post-Modern Age heroes and villains include:
Heroes
- Gemini aka Casey Polluck
- Crash Rita aka Margeurita Xaiver
- Mechakid aka Nicky Sparks
