CW: This page contains some graphic details about the process of his bones breaking, and it contains details of spousal and child abuse.
Life Prior to Heroism
Bone Doctor was born in Cytopia to an unmarked couple. Upon discovering him being marked, they decided to conceal the fact that he was marked from the Cytopian government to help their child avoid a life of facing discrimination. Bone Doctor went on to attend Cybil University to acquire a degree in archeology. A year into his education, he met Yashila Khurana, and the pair fell deeply in love. A year later, he left Cytopia and moved to Draywood with her, where he continued his archeological studies and she studied anthropology. They both acquired doctorates in their studies and got married when they graduated from college.
Bone Doctor and Yashila worked together on various archeological digs and research expeditions for several years, but when Yashila was 27, she began to dabble into hero work, donning the persona of Hypocenter. Some years into her career, the pair had their first son together, and another a couple years later. The couple managed to have a healthy and stable relationship while taking good care of their children for some time, but eventually Yashila caused an accident that led to both her and Bone Doctor being severely hurt, inflicting the both with permanent nerve damage. Yashila was forced to temporarily retire for hero-work as a result, though she would never decide to return to it.
The fallout of this accident left Bone Doctor spiraling into depression, and he took out his frustrations with his chronic pain and life on his wife, and eventually, his sons as well. Bone Doctor began to drink to the point of alcoholism, and he remained a verbally and mentally abusive husband for several years as his children grew. Eventually, this came to a head when Bone Doctor caused an accident that led to his eldest son falling into a coma, that which he has yet to wake up from.
Following this, Yashila divorced Bone Doctor, at which point he had nobody left to take his anger out on. He spent years focusing on self-improvement and recovering from his alcoholism before he decided to become a superhero. In doing this, he took some of Yashila's old hero gear she had left with him and redeveloped them into his own equipment, turning her epicenters into his nails.
Career
Bone Doctor began operating as a hero in Draywood in February of 2080 when he showed up to the scene of a traffic accident to assist in rescuing a vehicle occupant who was trapped. Since then he has been seen doing a wide variety of jobs from a variety of employers. Search and rescue, security, and occasionally fighting villains, Bone Doctor has been known as a jack of all trades. He has also worked with the Draywood Medical Heroes Association on occasion, though is not classified as a member.
His unusual mark and old age (he has said publicly that he is in his early to mid 50s) has raised some concerns over the ethics of hero work as a lifelong career. Some hero employers have mentioned they refuse to employ Bone Doctor because of the damage his mark inflicts upon himself.
Abilities and Gear

The bones in the body.
- 4: Swarm - Bone Doctor can cause an enormous swarm of cicadas to burst from the ground, let loose in the area. These cicadas die when his power runs out, and they're completely harmless. He can also make them return to the Earth on command, and only two swarms can be active at once.
- 39: Creature Call - Bone Doctor can mimic the noises of animals he has heard in the past
- 43: Counterfeit Sense - Bone Doctor’s eyes can layer a “filter” upon his vision to allow him to tell the difference between real and counterfeit money.
- 65: Gather - Bone Doctor, when he holds an object, can cause all of such items of the same name (ie: "phone" or "thumbtack") within 50 feet to fly toward him at a safe speed by saying the word aloud. The objects must fit in his hand to be attracted.
- 69: Seed Psychokinesis - Bone Doctor is capable of moving any number of seeds around him telekinetically, to his heart's content. When seeds are naturally part of an object, like a fruit, he can move the object itself as well.

Gear
The Bone Doctor's most important gear are his hammers and nails. He carries two miniature sledgehammers used for breaking his bones, and ten "nails" to use alongside them. These "nails" are similar in shape to golf tees, and their tips are specially designed to stick to fabric and skin, allowing him to place them upon his body to hammer if he wishes to break a bone.
Bone Doctor wears heavy armored black boots, reminiscent of ski boots. His limited fandom has dubbed them the "Solebreakers." These boots bear small number keypads on their heels, which Bone Doctor can type a specific number into to make the boots break a specific foot bone of his with the mechanisms contained inside.
Trivia

| Notable Relationships | |
|---|---|
| Balthazar | One of Bone Doctor's friends. Balthazar's strange mannerisms don't seem to be entirely his fault, so Bone Doctor sees past them to his friendly and inquisitive sides. He enjoys spending time with him since his kindness and positivity is so innocent. |
| Bleeding Heart | Bone Doctor's only friend on base that he knew prior to the project. Bleeding Heart and Bone Doctor occasionally worked together via the Draywood Medical Heroes Association. Bone Doctor is quite fond of Bleeding Heart, however he often does not let him medically assist him as much as he would like. That being said, Bleeding Heart does help Bone Doctor think twice about some of his self-destructive tendencies. |
| Ditto | Bone Doctor has trouble getting along with Ditto. He realizes that Ditto is a helpful and good person, but her antics can certainly test Bone Doctor's patience. He's also jealous of Ditto. |
| Georgy Joy | Bone Doctor never really was that close with Georgy, nor knew her well, but he had great respect for her ability as a hero and positive outlook. He believes her death is his fault. |
| Joshy | One of Bone Doctor's roommates. Bone Doctor cares about Joshy immensely, and is horribly invested in his life and happiness. However, Bone Doctor feels that he actually can't really help Joshy much, and that Joshy is much too kind to deserve someone as awful as Bone Doctor in her life. Still, he tries his best to look out for them. |
| Krah | Bone Doctor met Krah when Krah landed on his head, causing him to fall over and hurt himself. As a person*, Bone Doctor doesn't get along with Krah much, but since they aren't human, Bone Doctor doesn't really expect to. That being said, Bone Doctor respects Krah for its exemplary performance on the third mission they were teammates on. |
| Kyouko Okada | Kyouko saw through some of Bone Doctor's flaws and self-destructive actions and tried to help him succeed. He really appreciated that, and feels indebted to her. However, he feels as if he might have burnt his bridge with her, having made a fool of himself and damaged her reputation as well, on top of being generally incompetent. |
| Professor Corpse Flower | Bone Doctor finds Remilia annoying and far too vulnerable of a person for someone like him to be able to handle. She is a misguided loose cannon that he should stay far away from, for both of their sakes. |
| Rattrap | Bone Doctor likes Rattrap, seeing them as a misguided and fairly unwise but very well-meaning hero. He really appreciates their positivity, even if their lack of social skills can irk him at times. He doesn't let it affect his opinion of them too much, since it doesn't seem to be their fault. |
| Ripley Pond | An acquaintance of Bone Doctor's at Project Perihelion. Bone Doctor does not dislike Ripley, he can be enjoyable to talk to and even helpful. However, Bone Doctor does find some of his overly friendly tendencies somewhat annoying sometimes. He doesn't know what to think of Ripley, and doesn't really know how to interact with him well. |
| Tyler Bonnie | Bone Doctor has spent a not insignificant amount of time with Tyler by sheer coincidence. They get along fairly well, but sometimes Tyler's offhand remarks can rub Bone Doctor the wrong way. |
| Vincent Noble | Bone Doctor hates Vincent Noble with all of his being. He sees his younger self in Noble, and he despises him for it. |
| Bone Doctor | Bone Doctor's greatest enemy. |
