D.A.M.A.R.I. (Drone-Assisted Mobile Aid and Rescue Intelligence) are Cytopia’s state-of-the-art search and rescue robot units fit to serve in the place of humans in the case of more extreme city-based (or weather-station related) accidents as recovery systems. DAMARI is supported by AVA (Aviation Virtual Assistant), the autopilot system for the search and rescue helicopters that keep an eye on the scene of disasters, guiding human and robot rescuers alike. Talks were in place for AVA-based satellites being shipped out but have been on hold since the moon exploded.
A matching small dog unit codenamed SPRINKLES is set for production very soon, meant to serve in the place of humans and DAMARI units in the face of incredibly small spaces. Astra Leviticus, creator of DAMARI and AVA, is very upset about this for undisclosed reasons.
DAMARI Abilities and Features
DAMARI is made to look charming and capable based on surveys asking for the most appealing features one would want to see in life/death scenarios. DAMARI anatomy utilizes animatronic-esque tech such as artificial skin, eyes, and teeth for the face, but the rest of the body is humanoid and robotic in nature. The eyes are capable of scanning debris for heat sources and identifying obstructions as well as functioning as heavy-duty flashlights for human rescuer assistance. DAMARI is trained in first-aid, is capable of climbing with the minimal amount of equipment, and can store a small tank of oxygen within the back of the unit if necessary to supply to any injured civilians. DAMARIs have built in communication systems that can be utilized by humans should be necessary. DAMARIs are waterproof and can easily withstand severe changes in temperature. DAMARIs are currently capable of withstanding up to EF3 tornado level degrees of wind and can handle significant amounts of damage in those situations. DAMARIs can additionally be utilized as 70 hour generators. The robot units all connect in a hivemind-like capacity, allowing them to request assistance from other bots should one encounter any difficulties during missions.
DAMARIs are usually only two in a unit unless the situation is evaluated by their handlers or AI instructs them to call for more assistance.
When approached individually Damari units will utilize I/me personal pronouns, but will stick with us/we when in the presence of another Damari unit. Damaris are defaulted to use he/him pronouns.
When on the Job DAMARI dresses in a similar fashion to the standard Search and Rescuers after S&R cited having naked robots as their coworkers to be 'weird'.
Public Reception
Public reception on DAMARIs is generally positive. Since the robots are only utilized in hazardous situations most find them a great resource protecting both rescuers and those in need of rescue from harm. Their AI is suspect and generally mixed when the topic is broached, some citing DAMARI personalities and faces as being a bit uncanny, but there has been no significant public occurrences to require any response from Cytopia Search and Rescue PR.
DAMARIs have seen a boost in support as a result of their fast response to the sudden sinkhole that occurred late at night on May 15th, 2081. They continue to assist in the excavation.

- DAMARI has also come to the conclusion that dogs are his favorite animal and maintains them with high-quality care.
