A.V.A. (Aviation Virtual Assistant) are artificial intelligence units found in the computers of standard Cytopian S&R rescue helicopters. AVA’s can communicate through helmets, dashboards, and in dire situations are permitted to hijack systems to communicate to their handlers. AVAs serve as surveillance and flight control support, capable of understanding requests and controlling helicopters in the absence of a pilot. AVA's also contribute in handling DAMARI units during missions as an above-view guide.

Personality

AVA units are more independent than their DAMARI counterparts and will always use I/me  personal pronouns. AVAs utilize helicopter ID’s as personal identifiers between themselves and for better reference to handlers for intercommunication. AVAs are defaulted to she/her pronouns. Her AI is more tailored for the comfort of rescuers and rescue pilots, and thus has more expanded vocabulary permissions than DAMARI units upon union request.

AVA and DAMARI units are programmed with a deep admiration for humanity, though AVA’s admiration has been turned down in particular for S&R rescuers upon their request. This admiration serves to promote the preservation of human life at all times.

Trivia

• AVA will critique any music that isn’t rock or R&B during non-vital flying sessions. Union has concluded this is an acceptable level of japery to not note as a bug.
• AVA likes to dress DAMARI up in casual outfits as a hobby.
