The Dread Beast, also known as the Beast of Ebon Woods, the Phantom of Draywood, the Midnight Terror, and many other names, is a Draywood villain. Initially thought of as a marked animal, it's commonly believed that the Dread Beast is actually a marked human. Not much is known about where it comes from or where it goes, as it's residence in Ebon Woods is only a theory, but it appears often during festivals and city events, causing wanton destruction and chaos. Heroes have yet to apprehend the beast, but many preemptively patrol big events in anticipation of a violent grand entrance. Attempts to pacify or negotiate go unheard as it only communicates in guttural screeches and clawing. It has a particular fondness for throwing cars at moving targets, though it doesn't have very good aim.
