Nephew of King Thomas Cain II, ”Prince Charming” (real name: Gabriel Cain) was never set to inherit the throne, forgoing any inner family conflict. However, his mother, the king’s sister Duchess Seraphina Cain, was always quite close and loyal to his rise to power, and her children grew up close to the actual heir to the throne.

Life and Career

Gabriel was raised to take his duty in stride, taking on princely duties that would come from being a member of the royal family. It was cited that he acted as an older brother/mentor figure to his younger cousin, Princex Emil Cain, but it’s unclear if their close relationship was true or just a public appearance.

When Gabriel turned eighteen, he decided he wanted to help Draywood in a more direct manner, and the hero of “Prince Charming” was born. There was no secret identity, and his status as a prince easily came with many perks other heroes starting out wouldn’t have. He was already popular from the get go, he was able to have very expensive and ornate silver armor custom made with appearance and practical use in mind, and some villains would even give up at the start, knowing that their punishment for harming a crown prince would be even worse than a normal hero.

His mark, Bird Cage, allowed him to trap his opponent inside a cage, where their emotions immediately become numbed and placated.

Disappearance

It was about seven years ago that Prince Charming was on a political/peace keeping trip to Cytopia that tragedy struck. He failed to appear at a scheduled meeting with a Cytopian senator, and when the police were sent to check on him, both he and his wife were missing, the house ransacked. Dray investigators were allowed onto the scene to work with the Cytopian police, but the parties failed to work together. The mystery was never properly solved, and they were both declared dead.
