Hypocenter was a superhero who operated in Draywood from 2056 - 2067. Her true identity is Yashila Khurana. She simply disappeared from her hero work without a word one day, seemingly at random. However, she has recently reappeared, revealing her identity and publishing an autobiography.
Career
Hypocenter began operating in Draywood as a superhero in June of 2056 by appearing at an apartment fire, using her mark to clear a safe way for occupants to escape. Following this, she continued to work for some time, reaching moderate popularity within Draywood. She primarily operated in search and rescue, demolition, and similar non-violent areas, that which she had the most passion for. Despite this, she was more than willing to fight crime and villains more combatively when duty called. She was known for her deep compassion and concern for the people she helped, often following through in the recovery of those she may have rescued or saved. Raising money for them, visiting them in the hospital, attending public events, and so on.
In November of 2067, Hypocenter seemingly disappeared. She suddenly stopped doing hero work, did not show up to previous hero obligations, and vanished without a trace. Many believed she had died, but she reappeared in June of 2081, unveiling her secret identity and publishing the autobiography, "Aftershocks."
Abilities and Gear
Mark
Hypocenter's Mark, "Concentrated Tremors", allowed her to produce vibrations from any point on her body. When she touched something, she could cause vibrations to course through it with great intensity, even able to allow the vibrations to travel through multiple objects or keep them concentrated to a single object. These vibrations always started fairly small, but for as long as she held on she could raise the intensity of the vibrations to a desired degree. Using this mark, she could hold onto objects and make them shatter and crumble after channeling enough vibrations into them, or perhaps shake the earth to disturb the footing of others, among many other applications.
Gear
Hypocenter's main tool she carried was a collection of her specialized "Epicenters". These were small tools shaped like golf tees, of which she carried many. Their tips were specially designed to stick firm to any surface they pressed against, especially clothes and skin. She would often place epicenters against whatever she wanted to channel vibrations into, and channel the vibrations through the epicenter into the object when it was difficult to hold. These were particularly useful in combat, able to jab into people, stick to them, and then allow Hypocenter to channel vibrations directly into her target. This would allow her to disable specific parts of them, like an arm or a leg, as long as she held on for enough time to intensify the vibrations to a dangerous degree.
