The Dread Captains are a villain group notorious for pulling a variety of high-stakes, high-value heists around the land. Although the group moves from place to place on their ship, The Treasure, they're known to frequently dock in illicit New Chiti ports, hence its classification as a New Chiti-based villain group.
Members
The total number of people in The Dread Captains is unknown, as very few members are ever out on a heist at a time. However, it is suspected that they–excluding Scourge–are all related.
Theodora Dread
Theodora Dread is the leader of The Dread Captains. She was born in New Chiti in 2009, and has been a thief for nearly the entirely of her known life. Her mark, Astral Projection, allows her to view places and even speak to people without being seen by exiting her body—though she cannot move or defend her physical body while using it.
The effect of being spoken to by the projected Theodora has been described as disorienting, almost like having someone speak directly into one’s mind. The ability seems to be used sparingly, though, and appears to be more commonly used for recon rather than communication.
Scourge
Scourge is a parrot belonging to Theodora Dread, and is known for shouting profanities at passerby whenever the Treasure is docked.
Alice Dread, Sr.
The details of Alice’s mark, apparently titled I Know A Guy, are unknown—Alice herself was formerly the most publicly known member, being seen on the grounds of basically every heist the team went on until recent years. She’s still frequently seen fencing stolen goods for the Captains in current times, and has revealed that she is Theodora Dread’s daughter.
James Dread
James Dread, formerly James Gatto, was already a well-known thief before marrying Alice Dread in 20XX and joining the Dread Captains. His mark, Sea’s Cloak, allows him to keep The Treasure nearly undetectable by authorities, and otherwise seems to act as a getaway driver/sailor for the Captains.
Alice Dread, Jr.
Alice Jr.’s mark, Blackout, makes her a talented technopath in her own right, though she’s infrequently seen actively on heists—she seems to take more of a supportive role, disabling security systems from afar. Based on her name, she seems to be Alice Sr. and James’s child, and given the rest of the known Captains’ ages, the same can be assumed of them.
Liam Dread
Not much is known about Liam Dread nor his mark, and he’s rarely seen.
Dead Dread
Another captains member, spotted escaping authorities with the spoils of major heists for the Captains dozens of times, has never had his name properly revealed, though other Captains have publicly called him “Nobeard,” “Swabby”, and “Shitty gay idiot”. Recently, though, he hasn’t been seen on heists at all––in a quack about this many-named member after his disappearance, Alice Jr. stated that “now we call him dead becose thats what he fucking is LOL” [sic].
