Career
Flash is a hero unaffilated with any hero agency. She focuses on stopping small crime, but has been critiqued for her mark being "overkill" for these situations. However, injuries in relation to her hero work have only ever fallen on herself.
She was one of the many heroes who helped take down the resurrected T-Rex in 2080.
Outside of heroics she's currently studying at Draywood Academy as an Entomology major.
Abilities
Mark
Flash's mark is called Ka-Boom! and is located on the palms of both of her hands. It allows her to create an explosion by clapping. While she appears to be protected from the actual explosive blast, her mark does not protect her from the aftermath, including the force and flying debris. Due to the fact she always wears gloves out of costume, it can be assumed that the mark requires skin to skin contact, and that it cannot be "turned off."
The explosions she has made all tend to be similar in size (roughly the size of a car). It is unclear if she keeps them consistant consciously or if she can only make one size of explosion.
Gear
Flash occasionally carries a sword into battle.
Her costume has elements to protect her from explosion aftermath- she wears noise-cancelling headphones and protective goggles, although she frequently forgets to put the goggles over her eyes. The boots she wears are rather heavy. They're fitted with metal and even magnets, apparently to prevent herself from flying into the air. However, in practice this doesn't seem to consistently prevent that from occurring.
Trivia
- Flash-Boom-Splody-Bang is friends with Draywood Medical Heroes Association member Bleeding Heart. According to her, they met when she was patched up after her first battle, saying "There was a lot of blood, it was crazy!"
- When asked about why she picked her hero name, she responded "Because it sounds cool, why else? What, do you have a problem with it?"
