Star's Heights Casino is an Apopkan casino, known for its unique floor structure and affiliations with The World's Deck. The casino is one of the most popular in Apopka Lights.
Building
The Star's Heights Casino as a building is a unique case study in that it did not originate as a skyscraper, instead being built floor by floor. The base floor of the casino was originally a single-storey club called the Star's Dancefloor, which was opened in 1958 and inherited by Yawen Cao in 1974. The club was initially unpopular, but became a tourist hotspot under Cao's management. It was closed in 1984, being renovated into the Star's Heights Casino, though renovations performed in 2078 have restored the initial floor to resemble the original club.
Leadership and Formation
The Star's Heights Casino in its current form was opened by newly Marked businesswoman Yawen Cao in 1984, who allegedly began criminal operations in the same year. The casino's ownership and operation has been passed down the Cao family line since, typically at the death of the previous head of the family, though in recent years former head Xiang Cao abdicated the role to her son and his husband. Further recent changes to the structure of the casino note that the role is now being passed down through The Star Climb. The casino is currently owned by Jianhong Cao and Benjamin Dover-Cao.
Games and Activities
Star's Heights Casino boasts a new game for each of its many floors, increasing in complexity and difficulty with each floor. It has become renowned both for its variety and for the dedication of its croupiers, who are each assigned a floor at the beginning of their hiring by the casino and often dedicate themselves to it fully.
The casino is also known for its unique challenge, The Star Climb, which has become popular both with challengers to the ownership and as a night-out challenge.
Affiliations
Star's Heights is known for its alleged affiliations with The World's Deck, an Apopkan crime syndicate. No direct crimes have ever been proven against Star's Heights, allegedly due to their financial and political sway within the city, but its close ties to the syndicate have been reported by many casino-goers.
