Doctor Vincent Noble is a New Chiti civilian known for giving medical care to anyone, regardless of wealth, politics, or alignment. Many criminals and villains who can't go to public hospitals go to his clinic instead, as well as superheros hiding their identity, and underprivileged Chitizens who can't afford service from anyone else. Patients say he's known for his accommodating nature and acting more like a family friend than a doctor. Notably, he's protected by many of the New Chiti mobs who acknowledge his service, and his clinic is neutral territory.

While primarily trained as a trauma surgeon, he has a personal interest in organ transplants, including growing exact copies out of stem cells.

Personal Life
The Doctor was born in a small village right outside the Republic of Randwell and is known to be receptive to fellow ex-pats. He got his degrees at the Draywood School of Medicine before moving to New Chiti "where the rent is lower", in a cute two bedroom one bath bungalow that doubles as his clinic.

Trivia
He's gnot a gnome.

Somewhat secretly, he's a fan of Nirvana and similar bands and would dress more 'alternative and grunge' if he had the self confidence to pull it off.

He's only mentioned it offhand, but he has a girlfriend.

Graves Island is an island off the northeast coast of the Republic of Randwell. The island contains a small city, a nature preserve, research facilities, and it's nominal graveyard. There's a ferry that travels between the city, Stycks, and the mainland four times a day.

History
During the Formation Era, Graves Island was used as a sacred graveyard, the journey to bury a body a pilgrimage. Pilgrims would carve their own canoes and paddle 70 miles to the island. These canoes would have etchings that symbolized the deceased's life. Some canoes have been kept and preserved, but most were turned into coffins for the deceased.

Many decided to settle at Graves Island permanently, either because they couldn't journey back or to assist those that come with transportation or burial rites. From there, a port and town was build and has since expanded.

In 2030, Graves Island was peacefully incorporated into Randwell with the consent of the acting mayor, under the condition that the graveyard was not to be touched.

Geography
The southern half of Graves Island is cliffy and mountainous, most of the residents live on the northern tip by the port or along the coastline. Approximately 20% of the island is forest and a heavily restricted nature preserve. A road along the perimeter connects settlements and is usually reserved for waste management or emergency services while citizens use the myriad of bicycle trails.

Trivia
The official food is the pavlova.

Some historic families and first settlers of the island have kept and maintained family canoes that they use as a record of family history.

It's a popular vacation spot for Randwellians. You can buy canoe keychains and swim with dolphins.

Regina Aquamarina Berndtsson is the current Premiere of the Republic of Randwell for over 80 years. Berndtsson's mark has made her eternally 21, and rumor has it many other abilities (theories include laser eyes, super-intellect, telekinesis, and a good fashion sense). She is known for her cheery disposition, which her detractors say "gets adoration from the naive and fear from the wary". Nonetheless, a majority of Randwell's population support her, and subscribe to her strong vision of a united future.

Career
She's the Premiere, and under her guidance, Randwell turned from an idyllic town to a true empire. She believes by uniting the Land, infighting, petty differences, selfish disagreements over ownership and profit can be set aside as everyone realizes that together is better. She has many ideas for what 'the best possible Land' looks like and has invested heavily in clean nuclear energy, agricultural initiatives to end food insecurity, defense, and <s>propaganda</s> citizen satisfaction!

Personal Life
Many biographies have been written about Regina from various perspectives, some say the negative takes are heresy, some say the positive takes are propaganda. It's difficult to find a consistent narrative to her life before and during her rise to power. One thing that has been verified is she was a chemistry student in a Randwellian university when the Flare hit. Another thing is she is currently single.

Abilities and Gear
Regina Berndtsson can do anything. There have vast, conflicting accounts about her mark and it's versatility has been heavily documented. If there is a common superpower you could imagine her having, she's been shown to be capable of it. She is often seen in uniform and heels. Sometimes reading glasses.

Trivia
Regina has multiple PhDs in various fields and gets new ones when bored.

She has her own Barbie-style toy line.

As she got her mark before people knew what marks were or named them, there is no official standard name, and each city state calls it something different. Apopka Lights calls it "Forever 21", New Chiti calls it "Blue Rinse", Draywood calls it "Queen of All Trades" or "Eclipser", and Cytopia calls it "The Divine Body". In Randwell, it's just referred to casually as 'Regina's mark'. Regina herself says she has a name for it, though she "doesn't want to be self centered and share it", and prefers letting other people name it.

Was once rivals with King of Marks, Cecil Allrich, and had taken the credit for defeating him after his mysterious and sudden disappearance.
Nephew of King Thomas Cain II, ”Prince Charming” (real name: Gabriel Cain) was never set to inherit the throne, forgoing any inner family conflict. However, his mother, the king’s sister Duchess Seraphina Cain, was always quite close and loyal to his rise to power, and her children grew up close to the actual heir to the throne.

Life and Career
Gabriel was raised to take his duty in stride, taking on princely duties that would come from being a member of the royal family. It was cited that he acted as an older brother/mentor figure to his younger cousin, Princex Emil Cain, but it’s unclear if their close relationship was true or just a public appearance.

When Gabriel turned eighteen, he decided he wanted to help Draywood in a more direct manner, and the hero of “Prince Charming” was born. There was no secret identity, and his status as a prince easily came with many perks other heroes starting out wouldn’t have. He was already popular from the get go, he was able to have very expensive and ornate silver armor custom made with appearance and practical use in mind, and some villains would even give up at the start, knowing that their punishment for harming a crown prince would be even worse than a normal hero.

His mark, Bird Cage, allowed him to trap his opponent inside a cage, where their emotions immediately become numbed and placated.

Disappearance
It was about seven years ago that Prince Charming was on a political/peace keeping trip to Cytopia that tragedy struck. He failed to appear at a scheduled meeting with a Cytopian senator, and when the police were sent to check on him, both he and his wife were missing, the house ransacked. Dray investigators were allowed onto the scene to work with the Cytopian police, but the parties failed to work together. The mystery was never properly solved, and they were both declared dead.

King Thomas Cain II is the current king of the beloved Draywood monarchy. Popular among citizens, he's known for regularly interacting with the public, attending festivals and art galleries, and being a kind and generous man of the people. Despite his positive reputation, his family secretly wishes someone more sensible was leader, as the king has an elementary mindset when it comes to politicking.

Family History
When the Flare first hit and Marks were poorly understood, Draywood coped with the sudden chaos by forcing all Marked out of city proper and into woodland work camps to allegedly maintain balance between Earth and humanity. This didn't last long as the superhumans revolted, overthrew the old government and instated a monarchy with King Jean-Luc Cain, beloved war hero and head of the revolution, in power. He trained his son Thomas extensively in every subject since he was little, retiring from the throne after a peaceful rule.

Succeeding him, King Thomas I was also a talented leader, less of a public speaker and more calculated, much of Draywood's current public infrastructure is thanks to his careful planning. He notably resented the pressure put on him in his youth and raised his son, Thomas Cain II, with the intent of not passing down the crown as long as he can and letting Thomas II have a normal life.

However, he died unexpectedly, and Thomas Cain II, only 18, was somewhat ill prepared to take the throne. Thankfully, Draywood's Congress and the king's family members have advised him and kept the transition smooth, and no one can deny the king's passion, optimism, and belief in common good. That's all you really need to rule, right?

The current heir in line is Princex Emil Cain, though it will be some time before they're ready to inherit the throne.

Trivia
He has a younger brother, Duke Wilk Cain and older sister, Duchess Seraphina Cain.

The Cains have an estranged branch family, the Abels, who were excommunicated after an assassination attempt on the king.

He's just like Asgore from Undertale for real.
The only son of King Jean-Luc Cain, Thomas I ruled from 2030-2050 and was responsible for most of the city's working public infrastructure. He was adopted specifically to be an heir to the throne after passing several assessments and was trained extensively in anything a ruler may benefit from. He was a calculating and efficient ruler who cared less for charisma compared to result.

He was succeeded by the eldest of his two sons, Thomas II, after dying suddenly and unexpectedly. Bone Doctor is a superhero who operates in Draywood. His real identity is unknown. His mark, Fracture Manifestation, gives him a unique ability when any of the bones in is body break. These powers last one hour after the fracture.

CW: This page contains some graphic details about the process of his bones breaking, and it contains details of spousal and child abuse.
Life Prior to Heroism
Bone Doctor was born in Cytopia to an unmarked couple. Upon discovering him being marked, they decided to conceal the fact that he was marked from the Cytopian government to help their child avoid a life of facing discrimination. Bone Doctor went on to attend Cybil University to acquire a degree in archeology. A year into his education, he met Yashila Khurana, and the pair fell deeply in love. A year later, he left Cytopia and moved to Draywood with her, where he continued his archeological studies and she studied anthropology. They both acquired doctorates in their studies and got married when they graduated from college.

Bone Doctor and Yashila worked together on various archeological digs and research expeditions for several years, but when Yashila was 27, she began to dabble into hero work, donning the persona of Hypocenter. Some years into her career, the pair had their first son together, and another a couple years later. The couple managed to have a healthy and stable relationship while taking good care of their children for some time, but eventually Yashila caused an accident that led to both her and Bone Doctor being severely hurt, inflicting the both with permanent nerve damage. Yashila was forced to temporarily retire for hero-work as a result, though she would never decide to return to it.
The fallout of this accident left Bone Doctor spiraling into depression, and he took out his frustrations with his chronic pain and life on his wife, and eventually, his sons as well. Bone Doctor began to drink to the point of alcoholism, and he remained a verbally and mentally abusive husband for several years as his children grew. Eventually, this came to a head when Bone Doctor caused an accident that led to his eldest son falling into a coma, that which he has yet to wake up from.

Following this, Yashila divorced Bone Doctor, at which point he had nobody left to take his anger out on. He spent years focusing on self-improvement and recovering from his alcoholism before he decided to become a superhero. In doing this, he took some of Yashila's old hero gear she had left with him and redeveloped them into his own equipment, turning her epicenters into his nails.

Career
Bone Doctor began operating as a hero in Draywood in February of 2080 when he showed up to the scene of a traffic accident to assist in rescuing a vehicle occupant who was trapped. Since then he has been seen doing a wide variety of jobs from a variety of employers. Search and rescue, security, and occasionally fighting villains, Bone Doctor has been known as a jack of all trades. He has also worked with the Draywood Medical Heroes Association on occasion, though is not classified as a member.

His unusual mark and old age (he has said publicly that he is in his early to mid 50s) has raised some concerns over the ethics of hero work as a lifelong career. Some hero employers have mentioned they refuse to employ Bone Doctor because of the damage his mark inflicts upon himself.

Abilities and Gear
Mark
Bone Doctor's mark, Fracture Manifestation, grants him a different ability whenever one of his bones fractures. These powers last for an hour. Below a list of known abilities and associated bones has been compiled.

<gallery>
File:Bones-hand.png|thumb|The bones in the hand.
File:Bones-foot.png|thumb|The bones in the foot.
File:Bones-spine.png|thumb|The bones in the spine.
File:Bones-skull.png|thumb|The bones in the skull.
File:Bones-chest.png|thumb|The bones in the chest.
File:Bones-skeleton.png|thumb|The bones in the body.
</gallery>

* 4: Swarm - Bone Doctor can cause an enormous swarm of cicadas to burst from the ground, let loose in the area. These cicadas die when his power runs out, and they're completely harmless. He can also make them return to the Earth on command, and only two swarms can be active at once.
* 39: Creature Call - Bone Doctor can mimic the noises of animals he has heard in the past
* 43: Counterfeit Sense - Bone Doctor’s eyes can layer a “filter” upon his vision to allow him to tell the difference between real and counterfeit money.
* 65: Gather - Bone Doctor, when he holds an object, can cause all of such items of the same name (ie: "phone" or "thumbtack") within 50 feet to fly toward him at a safe speed by saying the word aloud. The objects must fit in his hand to be attracted.
* 69: Seed Psychokinesis - Bone Doctor is capable of moving any number of seeds around him telekinetically, to his heart's content. When seeds are naturally part of an object, like a fruit, he can move the object itself as well.
* 155: Great Escape - Bone Doctor can automatically unlock or unfasten anything that is binding or restraining someone. He can do this on command for himself, but has to touch another person to unlock their restraints.

Gear
The Bone Doctor's most important gear are his hammers and nails. He carries two miniature sledgehammers used for breaking his bones, and ten "nails" to use alongside them. These "nails" are similar in shape to golf tees, and their tips are specially designed to stick to fabric and skin, allowing him to place them upon his body to hammer if he wishes to break a bone.

Bone Doctor wears heavy armored black boots, reminiscent of ski boots. His limited fandom has dubbed them the "Solebreakers." These boots bear small number keypads on their heels, which Bone Doctor can type a specific number into to make the boots break a specific foot bone of his with the mechanisms contained inside.

Trivia
* Bone Doctor's greatest fear is car accidents.
* Bone Doctor has a Greek accent.
|-
!Balthazar
| One of Bone Doctor's friends. Balthazar's strange mannerisms don't seem to be entirely his fault, so Bone Doctor sees past them to his friendly and inquisitive sides. He enjoys spending time with him since his kindness and positivity is so innocent.
|-
! style="width: 12%" |Bleeding Heart
| Bone Doctor's only friend on base that he knew prior to the project. Bleeding Heart and Bone Doctor occasionally worked together via the Draywood Medical Heroes Association. Bone Doctor is quite fond of Bleeding Heart, however he often does not let him medically assist him as much as he would like. That being said, Bleeding Heart does help Bone Doctor think twice about some of his self-destructive tendencies.
|-
!Ditto
| Bone Doctor has trouble getting along with Ditto. He realizes that Ditto is a helpful and good person, but her antics can certainly test Bone Doctor's patience. He's also jealous of Ditto.
|-
!Georgy Joy
| Bone Doctor never really was that close with Georgy, nor knew her well, but he had great respect for her ability as a hero and positive outlook. He believes her death is his fault.
|-
!Joshy
| One of Bone Doctor's roommates. Bone Doctor cares about Joshy immensely, and is horribly invested in his life and happiness. However, Bone Doctor feels that he actually can't really help Joshy much, and that Joshy is much too kind to deserve someone as awful as Bone Doctor in her life. Still, he tries his best to look out for them.
|-
!Krah
| Bone Doctor met Krah when Krah landed on his head, causing him to fall over and hurt himself. As a person*, Bone Doctor doesn't get along with Krah much, but since they aren't human, Bone Doctor doesn't really expect to. That being said, Bone Doctor respects Krah for its exemplary performance on the third mission they were teammates on.
|-
!Kyouko Okada
| Kyouko saw through some of Bone Doctor's flaws and self-destructive actions and tried to help him succeed. He really appreciated that, and feels indebted to her. However, he feels as if he might have burnt his bridge with her, having made a fool of himself and damaged her reputation as well, on top of being generally incompetent.
|-
!Professor Corpse Flower
| Bone Doctor finds Remilia annoying and far too vulnerable of a person for someone like him to be able to handle. She is a misguided loose cannon that he should stay far away from, for both of their sakes.
|-
!Rattrap
| Bone Doctor likes Rattrap, seeing them as a misguided and fairly unwise but very well-meaning hero. He really appreciates their positivity, even if their lack of social skills can irk him at times. He doesn't let it affect his opinion of them too much, since it doesn't seem to be their fault.
|-
!Ripley Pond
| An acquaintance of Bone Doctor's at Project Perihelion. Bone Doctor does not dislike Ripley, he can be enjoyable to talk to and even helpful. However, Bone Doctor does find some of his overly friendly tendencies somewhat annoying sometimes. He doesn't know what to think of Ripley, and doesn't really know how to interact with him well.
|-
!Tyler Bonnie
| Bone Doctor has spent a not insignificant amount of time with Tyler by sheer coincidence. They get along fairly well, but sometimes Tyler's offhand remarks can rub Bone Doctor the wrong way.
|-
!Vincent Noble
| Bone Doctor hates Vincent Noble with all of his being. He sees his younger self in Noble, and he despises him for it.
|-
!Bone Doctor
| Bone Doctor's greatest enemy.

Law and Order is the tenth issue in the PENTANARCHY line. Our Starlets find themselves in the midst of what should be a very easy case. Wallace Dixon's wanted for murder, a witness has solid proof he didn't do it, and three of the land's best lawyers (debatably) are sent out on counsel duty. However, this case was never meant to be a breeze. As the Bushrangers suddenly attack the courthouse, our Starlets are forced to think on the fly when their key witness ends up a no show. With four hours to spare, they'll need to trek all over New Chiti to try and figure out just what's going on?

Everyone alive has a varied, personal definition of law. It's an understood study of human morality. It's a sanction of truth and liberty for all. It's a system of punishment, made for the bad eggs alone. But when a line is forcibly crossed, and an evil so malevolent rears it's ugly head, those definitions are pushed to their very limits.

Synopsis
The Starlets arrive in the bridge at 8 AM to receive a briefing on the upcoming mission. Wallace Dixon, commissioner of the Board of Buildings in New Chiti, had been wrongfully arrested for the murder of Mikah Zhao. Mikah, the victim, was found stabbed to death in Dixon's apartment with the commissioner's skin under their finger nails and blood on the scene also belonging to Wallace. However, a witness acquired by the project states that Dixon couldn't have done it, and that they had photographic proof that no such thing could have occurred. And so, it's up to Project Perihelion to step in on Wallace Dixon's trial and verifiably declare him innocent, else New Chiti loses a really important asset to their infrastructure committee. Starlets Jegg Hardly, Jules Knightley, and Ripley Pond were to act as the defense counsel, as the Clockwork Owl and the Peregrine of Parity stayed outside to watch for trouble. Benny O'Hare was brought in as a backup, not only to help control any chaos, but to also keep the Peregrine in check if she ever goes AWOL. Everyone was given hours to prepare for the case, and they were all sent out into the field at around 1 PM.

The Starlets arrived at the courthouse and immediately got into position. Benny remained in the lobby, keeping her ear to the comms in case of an emergency (While also making friends with some civilians outside!). The Owl and the Peregrine were on the roof, scanning the streets for any sudden attacks. Jegg, Jules, and Ripley all made their way into the courtroom itself, greeted by both their defendant and their judicial opponent, Ice Everly. One attendant was missing, however, as Farrah Nagi was yet to appear. She was the key witness Oscar had mentioned, and her tardiness had left the defense antsy. Ripley stepped outside to try and find her, as Jegg and Jules stayed inside to stall. Around the same time, the Starlets outside noticed a high speed, runaway garbage truck approaching the courthouse. The truck rammed into the side of the building, Bushrangers filing out to loudly proclaim that they were here to find Farrah. The building itself began to collapse, rubble cutting off Ripley and Benny from the courtroom, and the truck blocking them from seeing the Owl and the Peregrine. Jegg helps the commissioner stay down, as Jules continues to stall the trial to the best of her ability. The Starlets outside all began fighting the Bushrangers, Ripley and Benny shoot down a couple by combining their strengths. The Owl and the Peregrine, however, differed in ideology. The Owl took the time to get innocent lives to safety, as the Peregrine saw this as an opportunity to temper the balance. When the Owl refused to let this happen, the Peregrine orchestrated an assassination that ended up killing the Owl without anyone knowing it was really her.

Without much time to mourn, Ripley manages to secure a hostage as Wallace is struck in the head with a piece of falling debris. Seeing as the defendant needs time to recover, and that the court session would need to be relocated, the defense team is allotted 4 hours of recess to try and fix this mess. In that time, Maram dropped off equipment like Benny's weapons and Jules's armor. Jules uses her sword to cut down the rubble blocking the courtroom entrance, and everyone soon splits off into their own investigations to try and locate Farrah Nagi. Staying at the courthouse, Jules proceeds to torture the Bushranger hostage for more information, soon learning that Farrah was once a Bushranger who left the organization. The gang was scared she was heading into court to testify on their secrets, and whipped together a bullish plan to put a stop to it. Eventually, the hostage had begun to bleed out, Jules only offering a quick police call before leaving them behind to suffer. She moved onto Jegg's half of the search.

Jegg Hardly immediately went to the accused's apartment, AKA the scene of the crime. Police were there to stop him, but Jegg used his new-found knowledge of New Chiti culture to bribe the cop into letting him in. There, the crime was much more intricately displayed. In the living room, the victim was stabbed several times with a large knife stolen from the kitchen. The knife was left behind, a large puddle of blood marked out where the victim was dispatched, and the apartment was covered in Dixon's fingerprints. No fingerprints were found to belong to the victim, however, and further search showed that the home office nearby was completely cleaned of any and all fingerprints. Eventually, Jules joined her fellow lawyer to continue searching the area, where they shared small talk about Ice Everly being a failed prosecutor from Apopka. Apparently, they dropped their first case so quickly and had to take up New Chiti law to try and compensate. During this, Jegg got a real bad headache, but managed to find a CY-009 vaccination card, signed JH. With that, they both departed.

At the same time, Benny, Ripley and the Peregrine all headed over to Farrah Nagi's estate. The Peregrine stayed on overwatch, surveying the area with heat-vision goggles as Benny and Ripley would search her motel apartment. When the two got there, they found that the door was open and that her whole apartment had been trashed. Clothes everywhere, shelves torn open, spattered blood against the carpet. Benny found a ticket to the Calliope Wonderfair and Circus, which the Peregrine then abandoned her post to go search herself upon hearing it's importance. Apparently, Farrah had visited the location just recently, so it should at least have some sort of lead toward her whereabouts. Continuing to be thorough, Ripley then found a mysterious, L shaped gem laying conspicuously on her floor. And with the help form Intel, he also managed to find a secret cache behind her mirror, containing a burner phone, a back of drugs, and a recruitment poster for RAGE. Ripley let Benny take some painkillers, then pushed her out of the room so he could fake a phone call to whoever Farrah would reach with this burner. As it turns out, Farrah is now a member of RAGE, a staunch, anti-superhero rebellion comprising of civilians who feel burned by society. Ripley swindled the operator, convincing them he was Farrah looking for assistance, and managed an address to their nearest safe point. As they were leaving to rendezvous there, two Bushrangers arrived to try and see if Farrah returned. What ensued was a tense standoff, where a Bushranger landed a shot on Benny, then was immediately dispatched by Ripley who then helped his friend narrowly escape.

Meanwhile, the Peregrine makes her way to the Calliope Wonderfair and Circus. She gets there in the off hours, as workers gather around a fire to talk shop. Immediately, she makes her presence known and attempts to pressure everyone into telling her about Farrah Nagi. Most everyone here plays silent, but a couple carrying a tarp are caught in the Peregrine's icy stare. After a brief intimidation match, they relent that she should talk to the Stage Director, Ludwig, for more information. The Peregrine agrees, then proceeds to kick down the man's door in a violent display of power. Immediately, Ludwig panics, and the Peregrine takes the opportunity to layer in her demands. The Stage Director agrees, testifying that Farrah was here to see Mikah's car before it all went down. He then offers to take the ex-mil to the victim's caravan, which she accepts as a 'balanced trade'. Entering into the caravan, it's relayed to the group that Mikah, the victim, was a clown at the circus who bunked with the group's strongman. The Peregrine also found a laptop atop an old dresser, and after guessing the password, she found out that Mikah was looking into the Paula Lorimer case. Paula Lorimer was a chitizen who disappeared 5 years before this. There was also an email draft to be sent out to the defendant, Wallace Dixon, begging for more information on a plot of land he was looking to acquire for a water treatment plant. They had also felt that their life was in danger, was asking for Dixon to answer ASAP before anything happened. Before leaving, the Peregrine also finds an L shaped gem atop Mikah's bed. Pocketing it as evidence, she leaves behind her mailing address to pay for any damages, and leaves WITHOUT brutally assaulting Ludwig.

Back to Jegg and Jules, the two made their way to Wallace's office building. When the secretary asked for proof that the two were Dixon's lawyers, Jegg used his expired bar card to briefly give him authority, allowing the two into their defendant's office. There, they found the place torn to pieces. Drawers were pulled out, letters were left open on the floor, and the entire PC setup was stolen from his desk. The lock on the door had been messed up, meaning someone had broken in just recently. Despite this, the receptionist downstairs claimed that nobody had been in to visit. Frustrated, the two lawyers put their brains together in trying to solve this mystery. While searching, Jegg remembered something that Dixon said to him at the courthouse, a clue that helped the two of them find a hidden compartment behind the bookshelf. There, all of Dixon's ongoing cases were greatly documented, and the aforementioned water treatment plant was one labelled with an address. This in mind, they decided to regroup there.

Finally, Ripley and Benny made their way to the RAGE warehouse. There, they found the masked group loading up a truck with soup cans and other such perishables. Taking advantage of their charity, the two ran at them in the guise of needing safety and medical attention. They claimed to be Farrah's legal team, and that they had been attacked trying to get here. RAGE assisted them both inside, where Benny was able to more properly patch up her wound. Ripley continued to press about Farrah, eventually finding out that she went missing while investigating Dixon herself. Her disappearance had nothing to do with the Bushrangers, and RAGE certainly had no idea where she was, meaning a third party had stepped in and caused this mess. It was also heard that Dixon worked closely with Randwell on many projects, so many RAGE members held him in disregard. Information acquired, as well as thanks given, Ripley and Benny quickly departed the warehouse to go join the rest of the group. The Peregrine arrived just as they were walking out, shot three militia members in the chest, and absconded just as quickly as she had entered the situation.

Everyone agreed to meet up at the future site of Dixon's water treatment plant, in hopes to figure out just what was the root cause of all this. There, a loose patch of soil was found, and the Peregrine quickly got to work digging. Underneath, the Starlets found the corpse of Paula Lorimer. As they kept digging, they also found the corpse of Paula Lorimer. Buried just to the right, Paula Lorimer's corpse lay dead. The situation more confused than ever, everyone's focused was suddenly pulled to a mysterious voice behind them. A gang of eleven, clinical looking men stood behind everyone, Farrah Nagi bound in restraints beside them. They introduced themselves as members of the MultiPlicitous Design Guild (MPDG), with Jez Harrington as their leader. They explained that Paula was their main experiment for cloning, as her mark, Feeding the 5000s, could revolutionize world hunger in it's fish multiplying capabilities. The organization specializes in cloning marked civilians, in attempts to better use their marks and attributes towards a greater, more prosperous future. As such, many clones end up failures, and those failure clones end up buried here. The truth is, the MPDG are not allowed to be doing this. Because Wallace was purchasing this plot of land, part of Farrah's testimony would've involved bringing up this deal. And so, in order to impart a peace offering, they ask the Starlets to not bring them up at the trial, else Farrah's family is all killed and they make enemies with a group as powerful as them. The Peregrine snaps, firing a bullet at Jez and watching it be effortlessly deflected by their super-speed bodyguard. Guns are drawn, and Benny uses her mark to force the Peregrine into standing down. The Starlets agree to this deal, as Jegg secretly records every word in the background by using his mark.

Farrah is set free, rushing to her defense team in a panic. She knows what the MPDG were doing, calling it sick, before Jez reminds them of the danger she puts herself in. Everyone loads back into the car, Jules driving, and start to set off back to the courthouse. In a disturbing twist, Jules declares that Benny should use her mark to crash the MPDG's van as they drive away. Benny refuses, but Jules says that it's imperative to do so. The Peregrine agrees, and Farrah begins to freak out with indecision. Jegg's distracted trying to comfort the witness, Ripley vehemently disagrees, but Benny acts out of pressure and uses her mark on the MPDG's driver to make them crash. It works, but nobody actually dies in the wreck. Bullets fly, Ripley's hit in the arm and is unable to focus. The speedster then leaps out from the crash, jumping in front of the Starlets' car and diving through the windshield. This causes the vehicle to flip, as Jules loses control and sends their car flying into the side of the road. Several are injured, Farrah critically so. Benny can barely move, screaming over the panic and accidentally admitting that she's secretly a part of the Cain Royal Family. With MPDG members closing in, Jegg scrambles out of the car and surrenders, hoping the group will simply take him back to the courthouse. The Peregrine exits the car with no injuries, eyes lost to see Ripley in pain. Ripley himself is pulling Farrah out of the wreckage, but is stopped when the Peregrine hoists him off his feet. Jules tries to initiate a hostage situation with a scientists she's able to reach, but it's too late. Jez explains that they'll be taking Jegg Hardly and Farrah as collateral, and that this stint was all just a big mistake. Oscar pulls the plug on the mission, instructing Starlets to enter a nearby dark building to escape with Maram. Benny crawls her way in, the Peregrine and Ripley following soon after, but Jules and Jegg remain out on the field.

Jegg attempts one last ditch effort to try and break free, forcing his way out of their restraints and making a run for it. His bullet proof vest absorbs a single gunshot, but the second snags his leg and cripples him. Unable to run, all he's able to do is stare down at his fellow Starlets in a fury. Jules insists, hostage still in hand, that there's got to be a way to fix this, but a psychic force suddenly influences her to let go. In a fit pitiful regret, she brutally kills her one hostage, and leaves with everyone else. Jegg is kidnapped by the MPDG and doesn't return to base.
RAGE is an anti-superhero, anti-government vigilante terrorist organization with reach across the Land that aims to 'return power to the people' and fight corruption. It's known for guerilla tactics and difficult to trace command. They're based in Limville, a small derelict town between Draywood and New Chiti.

Jegg, Jules, and Ripley all made their way into the courtroom itself, greeted by both their defendant and their judicial opponent, Ice Ellory.

Eventually, Jules joined her fellow lawyer to continue searching the area, where they shared small talk about Ice Ellory being a failed prosecutor from Apopka.

During the events of Law and Order, Jegg Hardly was taken hostage and threatened for information by them. He was found by the Field Captain team, in a featureless white room with a note saying "LET'S BE PALS".
Mei Yuri is the current mayor of New Chiti and the youngest mayor the city has ever seen. She's known for her optimism, kindness, and dedication, juggling the measly budget between all the economic, structural, and social issues the city faces. In the past, New Chiti has been primarily under the control of gangs with only an incompetent figurehead as mayor, but Mei Yuri promises to change that. Or at least, have a smattering of successful public projects.

Mei wears multiple hats rather than hire staff and is often found doing hands-on work to fix roads and run food banks. It's an open secret that she's willing to work with gangs to get things done, but rather than a sign of corruption it's a sign of her sheer force of personality, that she's able to turn criminal groups into something more productive. Public opinion ranges from dismissing her idealist nature to respecting her work ethic and moral character.

Policies
Her main focus is on affordable quality housing, re-building the water system and electrical grid, and making sure the city doesn't fall apart. Mei avoids inter-city state politics except to act as a tiebreaker or if she can weasel something to benefit New Chiti out of it. She has a chitizen's eye for opportunity, after all!

Personal Life
Mei Yuri was raised by her grandfather and helped him take care of her many younger siblings. She got into Cybil University but only attended for a year, citing financial reasons, and a desire to focus on improving her city and spend time with family.

Trivia
She doesn't use swear words.

If the riptides don't get you, the trained sharks might. As it is considered Mecca for thieves, it's exact coordinates are a carefully guarded secret, many claiming employees are forced to take anti-memetics to keep the location from leaking. The leader of Sisyphus's Mob. A cold and serious individual. Kind of a boomer.

Career
He joined organized crime as a teenager and worked his way up the ranks. He's been leader for about 14 years. See Sisyphus's Mob for more. After the Penumbra's Parley Massacre, he's fallen into a bit of a depression, and now secretly works the weekend brunch shift as a line cook at a Cafe de Rivera while neglecting a majority of his duties. He has a crush on his boss there...

As the local mob boss, he was invited to judge the annual Bake and Snake. He has since developed the occasional habit of writing artful and specific critiques of restaurants he visits for the paper. He's also attended various elite Draywood and Apopkan villain galas and parties as the New Chiti representative.

Abilities and Gear
Beyond handsome biceps, Sisyphus has skill with a six shooter. More than any physical ability, he's known for being a tough negotiator and a reliable leader, growing one of the biggest gangs in New Chiti due to his reputation. He's often rumored to be Marked, but with the myriad of tattoos he has there's no real known proof.

Trivia
He has a horse named Caligula.
|-
|Tyler Bonnie
|Another coworker at the cafe. Sisyphus recently pulled him aside and ripped into him for being a letdown. He realizes the problem is a little more intense than laziness, but that's not a good excuse. He gave Tyler some basic action items and will be massively disappointed if Tyler fails them.
|-
|Joshy
|Sisyphus really likes Joshy. He thinks Joshy is deeply underrated by those around him and has a lot of potential to be great, he just needs to put the work in and focus.
|Teagan Hoover, Admiral Lionfish, Merchant, Lexi Holland
|People Sisyphus have considered and would consider a business relationship with, respectively. He is not like them, but respects their lifestyles.
|-
|Ripley Pond
|Roommate in 3 Aurora Ave. He has no ill will to the man, but is mildly frustrated that a detective who could be making his life easier is instead making it harder.
|-
|Jules Knightley
|Roommate in 3 Aurora Ave. Sisyphus loathes her lack of empathy and thinks she is a disgusting human being with no right to decide what is right and wrong. He was waiting to hear an apology, but no longer expects it or cares
|-
|Sam Aurelius and Benjamin Dover-Cao
|Roommates in 3 Aurora Ave. As fellow crime bosses, he generally respects them. He finds Benjamin to be particularly of good character and Midas containing promise but requiring restraint.
|-
|Benny O Hare
|Sisyphus views Benny very warmly. They have common interests and her bright and bubbly nature makes her easy to talk to. He's disappointed Ripley Pond keeps letting her down, not very gentleman of you Ripley.

He didn't really view her like a 'mission starlet' like his coworkers, so he was surprised to see her more violet and dangerous side. Well... she's a chitizen! He's gained a new kind of respect, now that she isn't really someone to protect. He will still comfort her, though, a treatment he wouldn't give anyone else.
|-
|Kyouko Okada, Marco Decatur
|Oscar Chaturanga V, Stardust, Ditto and Hypothesis, Noble
|Sisyphus respects and defers to Oscar as project leader. He finds Stardust easiest to talk to and understand and is his favorite of the department heads. The Intel department can be frustrating and stressful but he remains patient and grateful (somehow). He doesn't like Vincent Noble. Or Pauline Queen but that's neither here nor there.
|-
|End of the Line
|He generally approves of his End of the Line teammates, finding no fault in their work despite the failed mission.
He particularly feels like he owes Yuze Astor one for using her as a hostage for a second, the two have a strange working relationship. He's also gotten close with Lilou Durand, adding her to the collection of people he'd like to take under his wing
|-
|Seven Ate Nine
|He feels responsible for things ending up messy. He particularly sympathizes with Flick being forced to sabotage the mission. Despite him not caring for the Clockwork Owl, he also was worried about her dying. He also has lost a lot of respect for Jerry, and no longer cares to give him the time of day.
|-
|Rattrap

The Land is an island country set in the southeastern region of the Pacific Ocean. Historically utilized as an illegal trading port for pirates and outlaws, the nation is now a melting pot of populace and has various imported cultures and customs.

The Land is comprised of five major city-states who oversee laws and regulations over their citizens. There is no true central head of the country's government, one of the special features the Land possesses compared to other nations.

As of the present the Land is self-sustaining and has no major conflicts with outside countries. The Land is not affiliated with any international organizations.

For a more in-depth look at superhero culture, please see the History of Superheroes in the Land.

Prehistoric History
The Land has been officially inhabited by humans for approximately six centuries, with the Penumbra Volcanic Arc believed to have contributed to the growth of the land over 62 million years ago. The arc cut its way primarily through modern day Apopka Lights and stretched as far as the tip of present-day Republic of Randwell, regular eruptions providing a grand expansion that welcomed a swathe of wildlife, both floral and fauna, to its isolated and fertile lands. Little of the Penumbra arc remains, the remaining peak near the southwestern region of Apopka Lights now known as Mount Penumbra, one of the tallest mountains of the Eclipse Range.

The Land is surrounded by what once was a thriving coral reef, hailed officially as The Ringed Reef that held the genesis of the fish and oceanic life that sustained The Land’s waters. After the Flare The Ringed Reef has yet to fully recover, especially with the major damage suffered by it along the edge of New Chiti.

First Inhabitants
The Land was initially used for around 90 years as a global hideaway for pirates, soon becoming an illegal trading port for outlaws to congregate. As people began to settle thanks to the bounties of the land, the benefits of supplying entertainment to those coming to port, and some folks being unable to return where they came from, diverse groups of villages began to form in respective areas. These areas were initially controlled by certain pirate groups, but it’s widely believed global interference gradually dwindled the amount of pirates utilizing The Land as a hideaway, and those remaining settled down to become the initial leaders of The Land’s budding population.

The populace that served under the Ring of Foes are acknowledged as the official "First Citizens" of the Land, as they began establishing settlements and worked to farm and secure territory under their captains. The area previously known as Little Milan (a now completely submerged region of New Chiti) is considered by historians as the first village established in the Land. It was under the control of Lady Cleaver, a pirate known for her love of hard labor and beheading. Both traits can still be seen in New Chiti at present times.

Etymology
The language spoken by most Landians is simply called 'Landian'. The language borrows from a wide variety of others, a result of the melting pot that created the populace. Most Landians speak a second or third language as a result, one additional mandatory for all city-state higher education facilities. One unique feature of Landian that is rarely displayed outside of text in other similar languages is the verbal ability to describe images through unique inflections in speech, primarily in the way modern day “emoticons” can be used to expand expression in text. The roots are a hold-over from previous pirate usage of verbal code to keep deals secretive among clustered company. Eventually the general populace picked up on the common phrases and symbols and those became ingrained into standard usage. Traces of pirate dialect can also be seen in the modern day currency used, with paper and coin denoted as "dubs" and "bloons" respectively.

Swash Era
Known as the buccaneering era to the rest of the world, the late 1400's to mid 1500's embodied the height of pirates' use of the Land. The isolated location as well as the generally temperate climate and (by established nations) uncharted waters brought thousands swashbucklers to call the Land refuge in the midst of the Golden Age of Piracy.

Though true global combat of pirates only wiped them out in the 1830's, it is believed the peak of the Land's use by active pirates dwindled quickly with the gradual construction of depots led by retired but infamous buccaneers. These few, known as the Ring of Foes, began seeing the archipelago as an easy way to retain a personal wealth without needing to directly clash with any outside forces. El Vencedor, a pirate notorious for his manner of standing off with opposing forces with minimal weaponry used, regulated the entrance of others into their waters, a commission needing to be paid before individuals could cross. Despite the fee, the guarantee of quality supplies offered by those who visited made the venture a sustainable one for the Ring of Foes to continue this practice.

Near the turn of the 16th century the Ring of Foes began to squabble over minor things, allegedly no longer fulfilled with peaceful lives on the island. It took ten years for the Foes to gradually remove themselves from power to pursue more life on the waters, while those who were left behind were made to fend for themselves.

It is unknown why no other pirates returned to claim the area as theirs, though is debated that the global opposition of buccaneering had finally found the routes to the Land and utilized them to capture any looking to cross through them.

1530 - 1655
Exploratory Era
The Ring of Foes allowed for a generous populous to form in the southwestern and southeastern sections of the Land, around the regions of Cytopia and Apopka Lights. A crude method of communication, agreements between villages, and remaining deals set in progress from the Foes were the foundational blocks of the villages continuing to develop.

Adapting to independence included exploring and officially mapping the Land. 1532 was the first year that the designation "The Land" was documented in official use by explorer Xiang Qi of the southwestern villages (modern day Cytopia's coastline). Some major exploratory expeditions featured mappings of the chains of islands off the coast of the Land, a majority of the uncharted woods and inner regions of the Land hugging waterways, and Penumbra Arc's remaining volcanoes which were documented to be semi-active until the early 17th century. For citizens near the Apopka Lights region the mapping efforts would serve as the point of discovery for gold deposits deep in the inactive mountainous regions of Eclipse Range, a metal that would be utilized as the first non-foreign form of physical currency for the First Inhabitants.

An especially important expedition was made to map the potential for any method of tunneling that could bypass Eclipse Range to reach the southeastern area more quickly. At the time the current trip would take around 5 days with a crew that could climb mountains and 10 for trips that needed to navigate the perimeter of the Arc. Performed by Jackson 🌬🌊🌘 (current emoticon approximation of his last name's depiction) and a team of 9 others, their labor would not be truly recognized until the beginning of the industrialization efforts some 45 years after their mapping had been completed.

Exploration ventures were arduous and took up a good quantity of resources, so after getting a general approximation of the regions the First Inhabitants had to work with efforts were replaced with discussions of how to utilize the areas now known to them. This would leave certain regions unexplored until the 18th century's need of information for the impending railway system.

Formation Era
Most villages had to already resort to self-maintenance before the dissolution of the Ring of Foes, thus negotiations and fellowship was commonplace within prosperous neighboring areas. Plundering and attacks were also common for a time for villages more eager to acknowledge their previous roots.

Many villages of the past were absorbed into the city-states that exist today under various means, not all recorded. Some villages still exist today as towns just outside the perimeter of city-states but still following under their closest cities' laws.

███████(New Chiti's designation up until the Flare) and Apopka Lights were the first to receive both social and official designations as cities prior to the city-state designation's first official use in 1645. Their respective business and entertainment structures attracted many individuals from smaller villages, eventually allowing those areas to expand and merge with nearby towns naturally. While Apopka Lights established their living situations with no regard to any sort of zoning, ███████'s local culture found benefit in maintaining a structured living region completely separate from their working areas. These expansions required both cities to begin seeking resources outside of their existing territories, leading to Cytopia/Draywood's impending formation in direct contrast to the attempt.

Following the expeditions fame the logging community forming the Cytopia/Draywood area began to expand once people initiated attempts to claim and sell more of the natural resources located there than allowed. Efforts were regularly halted or indefinitely postponed thanks to existing residents of the southwestern villages contesting the abuse of their land or attacking those who came near. Elaine Macroft, am early local psychologist and self-declared 'environmental guardian', wrote what is still considered the Land's longest dissertation denouncing the two cities' citizens' efforts in deforestation and simultaneous theft of her village's resources. Simultaneous to this incident Cybil Anthony Macroft began a trek alongside a group of armed citizens to ███████ and Apopka to demonstrate more responsible uses of the respective cities' existing resources. Cybil was noted to have read the entirety of Elaine's writings multiple times through the course of her journey.

Bonded by their attachment to the villages and their deep involvement in their homestead's affairs Cybil and Elaine proceeded to become romantically and politically intertwined as the village's joint leaders. They remained united for 20 years, contributing to the impressive development of their village and its defenses before their personal desires for the growth of their home became too conflicting to remain together, and thus divided their shared property and their village into the beginnings of Cytopia and Draywood.

Randwell's development occurred primarily after Apopka Lights' developments encouraged migration from other smaller cities closer to the mountains. The area was lucrative to farmers for the especially rich land and waterways. A cluster of farmers built homesteads and made a small community swelling in supplies and foodstuffs that had very loose communal regulations amongst themselves. Only when a neighboring community to the northwest challenged them for their land did the pre-Randwellians first experience their first conquest and absorption of another town into their ranks. This would appear as a mere demonstration of strength initially, and their persistence of this pattern would only begin again in the 1980's.

With these events however the main establishments of the city-states fell into place and set the path toward further improvements in The Land's eventual construction of roads and rails toward the most populous parts of the island.

1655 - 1904
Industrialization Era
In 1655 merely half a year after their separation from Draywood Cytopia began tearing down and utilizing the landscape under their control, creating the foundations of laboratories and the much smaller rendition of what would become Cybil University. Apopka became a quick ally and trades of lumber for metals and coal became a regular practice among them, allowing Cytopia faster capabilities (as fast as the 10 day trips around the mountains would allow) to create, invent, and pursue the "perfect utilization of the earth for the benefit of people and nature alike" Cybil desired, in notably very slight contrast to Elaine's previous declaration of Draywood's intent to "maintain a strong and tranquil balance between the earth, its creatures and humanity".

The steady growth of the budding city-states meant a need for new homes, factories, and roads, and by this time in The Land's history the need was beginning to have a negative and serious effect on inter-city business structure.

Though rudimentary routes had long been carved around the mountains to transport people and goods the desire for something more official that was able to more quickly carry individuals and goods was a long discussed issue, especially among what historians designate The Big Three (Cytopia, ███████, and Apopka Lights) at the time.

Jacomo Bonaro was the head of ███████'s city planning committee and the initial proposer of the impending roadway project, suggesting the connection of the Big Three and some more significant villages and towns along the way. Jacomo wrote letters to Cytopia wishing to invite Cybil herself into handling the logistics of the project, recalling the advancements ███████ made to their factories with her initial visit. With Cybil's acceptance a month later and additional connections from Apopka Light's construction circuit the project began its initial stages and eventual completion 2 years later.

The road was designed to have a one-way toll included that would run for the next ten years, a stunt that would permit costs of construction to remain at a minimum and provide regular repayment to the suppliers within ███████ and Apopka Lights at a reasonable rate.

Immediate use of the road paid it off in double the time, allowing more routes to be developed with the residual funds. Carriages became cultural staples, horses becoming the most prominent method of transportation across the island nation excluding Cytopia, thanks to Draywood's refusal to deliver said horses due to 'fear of abuse'. This inadvertently allowed the first rudimentary self-driven carriages to be created long before cars would take a hold in other parts of the globe.

Natural Era
Various cultural and technological advancements thrived off of the connection provided by the road, especially at the beginning of the 19th century. Cytopia's educational system quickly became renowned across the Land, soon needing to regularly rebuild the building to fit the amount of people interested in their curriculum before beginning to adapt the concept of limited admissions.

Draywood lacked many of the technological advancements of its other cities, focusing instead on music and art, ecological awareness and maintenance, and the pursuit of happiness for its people. Upon hearing of Cybil University Draywood established Draywood Academy in response, gradually becoming the top fine arts academy in the Land.

███████'s ability to connect with pre-Randwellian farmers made the culinary arts blossom with an array of new dishes, and ███████ and Randwell become known for their cuisine and quality produce respectively.

Apopka Lights benefitted from the eventual import of cameras and film, spreading photography to the rest of the Land and honing a distinct efficiency for early motion pictures. Being an entertainment hub already meant that this allowed the prospect of broad distribution to enter Apopkan minds as another source of entertainment revenue, though the new roads kept it from any prominent attempts at pursuing for some time. The photographs produced in this time period are considered prized for the information they provided on culture, dress, and artifacts of the time.

Industrialization Era 2: Trains and Planes Edition
It took over a decade of planning (a few years added after the passing of Cybil in the late 1800's) to begin the construction of the first routes for the train station. Delegates from every city met in Apopka Lights' to discuss the plotting of safe passage through the interior of the mountains, which had been thoroughly extracted of most valuable ore at that point. This is considered the first official mass collaboration between all major regions of the Land.

Having worked jointly on the roads in the past, roles and tasks fell easily into place. Apopkan and Cytopian delegations focused on the safe detonation of Mount Umbra, another prominent mountain in the Eclipse Range, and it took to 1915 for the train system to be fully realized. The National Train Line completed its first route July 25th, and the day is now a minor holiday known as The Grand Connection.

Planes and various models also came into existence toward the turn of the century, though their commercial use was limited and not utilized by most of the populace in the face of the new train system. Modern plane use is even more limited outside of commercial imports, though still very regularly maintained.
<!-- ==1904 - 1980==
The Grand Era
Pop culture! Woohoo! More cultural talk! More imports! Some exports! What are they known for shipping out at this time?
Space Expansion Era
What's up there anyway? We're not in competition like those other guys, let's go check stuff out at our own pace. Oooh that's that thing happening out there? Surely we're not witnessing the end of life as we know it, and the grand awakening of a new and terrifying era.

[Add sentence/small summary referring to the Flare here. Then we link to the other page.]-->
1993 - 2018
The Unknown/Lost Year (1990)
There is little information about what occurred in the year 1990. Investigations in 2003-2005 could find no evidence as to what caused the mass memory gap or evidence for the later established theories. There were no recognizable health differences in the populace and construction, media, and financial processes all managed to maintain their progress or in the case of construction be completed with no recollection. In 2010 centuries old technology was found that is believed to possess a brief series of logs from the time. They are almost completely inaccessible and are still being decoded by LIRC data extractionists and analysts to this day.
<!--==2008 - 2050==
Neo-Modernist Era
Yeah, Marks are normal now. We're more closed off from the outside but not like, enough for people to care or question it. Found some stuff relating to the Unknown Era. Weird.

Named this by Dray scholars, this timeframe represented the highest acclimation to Marks and the influx of Mark-related media coverage (both in journalism and entertainment) and key cultural advancements.
2050 - Present
Another section concerning you guys. Will need to talk on it later.-->

Wars
While various skirmishes have been recorded between villages and budding nations, there has been no national war involving all of the city-states up to the present. The Republic of Randwell famously chose to participate in World War 3 in exchange for currently unconfirmed financial and militaristic benefits.

|Roommates in 3 Aurora Ave. As fellow crime bosses, he generally respects them. He finds Benjamin to be particularly of good character and Midas containing promise but requiring restraint.
|-
|Joshy
|Sisyphus really likes Joshy. He thinks Joshy is deeply underrated by those around him and has a lot of potential to be great, he just needs to put the work in and focus.

He recently offered Joshy a mob job and offered to train him in self defense.
|-
|Benny O Hare
|Sisyphus views Benny very warmly. They have common interests and her bright and bubbly nature makes her easy to talk to. He's disappointed Ripley Pond keeps letting her down, not very gentleman of you Ripley. He wants to go out of his way for her comfort and happiness, not really viewing her as a 'mission starlet' like he does with other co-workers.
|-
|Sightline
|A polite young man who promised to look out for Luisa. Very charming
|-
|Kyouko Okada, Marco Decatur
|He respects them as equals and sees their potential as both allies and obstacles in the long term.
|-
|Oscar Chaturanga V, Stardust, Ditto and Hypothesis, Noble
|Sisyphus respects and defers to Oscar as project leader. He finds Stardust easiest to talk to and understand. The Intel department can be frustrating but he remains patient and grateful (somehow).
He also has lost a slight amount of respect for Jerry and Teeth, but in a way where he's invested in them doing better.

One of many gangs in New Chiti, Sisyphus's Mob is arguably one of the largest and most powerful. Territory wise, it covered all of Empress and Pawny, as well as some of north Jaxon. It's signature operation is controlling the flow of goods in and out of New Chiti, imposing illegal tariffs on all deliveries, and confiscating the cargo if people can't afford to pay. It has a particularly strong presence on the Draywood and Randwell borders as a result and many companies that rely on New Chiti factories to produce their goods factor in Sisyphus' tax to their budget. As a result, it's the most well known Chiti gang outside of the city. When business is slow, the mob often moves into neighboring city-states for the occasional grand heist.

While not the most ambitious gang, it was definitely the most stable with a large scale lucrative business, until the Penumbra's Parley Massacre, where gang member the Jeanman killed an influential heiress, which seemed to have greatly effected the leader, slowing down the operation.

Lead by Sisyphus, who considers himself an 'honorable gentleman thief'. Notable rival of Boss of the Janitors, who disagrees with that assessment.

History
Previously headed by a woman known only as Persephone, at the time tariffs and robberies were only imposed on the gang's enemies. After Sisyphus took over almost 15 years ago, policies were changed. A code of honor was instated including the rule on Marks. They also switched to becoming indiscriminate with deliveries as well as expanding in size and territory. Despite it's generally stable and unambitious modus operandi, any notable activity on Sisyphus's turf had to get express permission, whether it was relevant to the gang or not, or it would be seen as disrespect. This allowed the gang to exert a large amount of control over a significant portion of New Chiti and its borders.

In 2071, there was a notable bloody battle with the Bushrangers that left the rival gang nearly decimated and cemented Sisyphus's authority. Quickly after, the mob rose to their peak, with a certain corrupt detective helping pick off enemies using methods the gang couldn't normally employ.

Around the late 2070s, the Janitors quickly rose to power and butted heads with Sisyphus's Mob. The Janitors had the advantage, rumors of a stalemate over a 'contract' negotiation behind the scenes, but after Boss's death in the Parley Massacre, the Janitors had to take the step back and reduce their plans, letting Sisyphus's Mob keep its seat.

In 2081 years later, the Bushrangers have had a resurgence, firebombing many buildings associated with the Mob.

Rules
Unlike other gangs, Sisyphus's Mob operates with a code of honor that's taken very seriously by it's most loyal members. Any exceptions to the rule need notarized permission from Sisyphus himself. Some rules are secret, but the most well known ones are:

* No usage of Marks in combat, limited usage in gang activities
* No guns until after 8 PM, knives only, but you can still open carry for emergencies.
* All drugs, weapons, etc sold in mob territory must be what they're claimed to be. No surprises, no mixing stuff.
* Don't rob the same shipment twice, or rob a shipment after accepting a fee
* No gang activity from rival gangs of any kind without permission

Notably, there's no age minimum to join the gang. The youngest members are often runners, doing less dangerous messenger jobs while they learn to fight.

Structure
Headed by Sisyphus, due to the size and wide area many of the gang sects operate somewhat autonomously. Sisyphus has an inner circle with his accountant, informants, and secretary that catch him up on the day-to-day dealings of the gang and what could use his approval. Outside is his wide ring of thieves that either work in groups with self-appointed leaders or solo. They report to the secretary with their questions and to the accountant with their earnings. The informants catch what people don't say, as well as keep an eye on rival gangs, the governments, and news.

Beyond stealing shipments, the mob also has a few well known fronts for laundering its earnings and fences for reselling and distributing stolen cargo. It also collects cuts from any criminal ventures operating on its territories with it's permission as a "tax", things like weapons deals, fight clubs, etc. that don't interfere with the mob's activities and are therefore allowed. While the gang focuses on couriers and their cargo, if a rich and important enough looking outsider tries to cross the border, members are known to demand a toll for passage.

Cecil Allrich was a serial killer and one of the world's first and most deadly supervillains. He was originally from the Republic of Randwell, but his antics have spanned all of The Land. He was known for killing Marked individuals in sick and twisted games and then using his Mark, Solbinder, to forge their Mark onto an object, which he collected. He was considered Regina Aquamarina Berndtsson's arch nemesis. He disappeared one day, never to be heard from again. The details surrounding his death and his legacy have been covered up by Randwell, so nobody truly knows what became of him.

He was close friends with Apopkan socialite Oscar Chaturanga III.

The leader of Sisyphus's Mob. A cold and serious individual. Kind of a boomer.

Career
He joined organized crime as a teenager and worked his way up the ranks. See Sisyphus's Mob for more. After the Penumbra's Parley Massacre, he's fallen into a bit of a depression, and now secretly works the brunch shift as a line cook at a Cafe de Rivera while neglecting a majority of his duties.

|+
! colspan="2" |Notable Relationships
|-
|Luisa Rivera
|The daughter of Sisyphus' close childhood friend and current boss at Cafe de Rivera. He shares Daniela's opinion that she is foolish and not ready for the "real world". He feels deeply responsible for her wellbeing during the Project
|-
|Tyler Bonnie
|Another coworker at the cafe. Sisyphus generally looks down on him as someone who needs to get his shit together, but he did well in the Tourney so he's not so harsh.
|-
|Teagan Hoover
|Sisyphus has worked with Teagan a few times and generally respects the guy. He's so chill you can't be mad at a man trying to make a buck.
|-
|Ripley Pond
|Roommate in 3 Aurora Ave. Sisyphus has hang ups about detectives that make him want to work with Ripley, despite Ripley's obvious disdain for him.
|-
|Jules Knightley
|Roommate in 3 Aurora Ave. Sisyphus loathes her lack of empathy and thinks she is a disgusting human being with no right to decide what is right and wrong. He's waiting to hear an apology.
|-
|Clockwork Owl
|He does not care for the Clockwork Owl.
|-
|Sam Aurelius and Benjamin Dover-Cao
|Roommates in 3 Aurora Ave. As fellow crime bosses, he generally respects them. He finds Benjamin to be particularly of good character and Midas containing promise but requiring restraint.
|-
|Joshy
|Sisyphus really likes Joshy. He thinks Joshy is deeply underrated by those around him and has a lot of potential to be great, he just needs to put the work in and focus.

He recently offered Joshy a mob job and offered to train him in self defense.
|-
|Stardust
|Probably his favorite staff member.
|-
|End of the Line
|He generally approves of his End of the Line teammates, finding no fault in their work despite the failed mission.
He particularly feels like he owes Yuze Astor one for using her as a hostage for a second, the two have an idle curiosity and a working relationship. He's also gotten close with Lilou Durand, adding her to the collection of people he'd like to take under his wing
