SNAKE membership is split into 3 main tiers.

===Soldiers===
Soldiers were the entry level position for a majority of former SNAKE recruits, being the main manpower behind a majority of the organization's plans. They were typically well trained and compensated for their work, but recruitment and retention declined following an apparent disregard for their population during the final years of SNAKE's existance.

===Specialists===
Specialists were highly trained and trusted members of SNAKE who were specialized in specific tasks and missions. From what little information is available, it would appear that the term 'Specialist' was relatively broad, including everything from Medical Staff to High Ordinance Explosives Specialists. Specialist groups were deployed far more sparingly than any other group in SNAKE, often being paired with a specific member of SNAKE High Command in conjunction with an equally suited mission. Despite this, they were apparently well compensated and far more likely to be promoted to said High Command.

SNAKE High Command was primarily built of highly trusted and skilled individuals from inside of the organization, and were in charge of all administrative action within SNAKE. According to testimony from former High Command members, members were given a high degree of autonomy with the caveat of all actions requiring Hiss' direct approval. This ultimately led to friction and in-fighting as members often felt stifled by Hiss' personal agenda, causing a high degree of instability within the organization.

Very little is known about the personal life of General Hiss, however it is heavily speculated that he lives with Soldier One within SNAKE Headquarters. Hiss has almost very rarely in public without the accompaniment of his organization, and has seemingly never removed hiss mask for anybody, including those from SNAKE.

== Mark ==
General Hiss' mark, "Serpent Tongued", allows him to produce a saliva-based substance with similar composition to snake venom. Upon injection or skin contact with this venom, Hiss appears to possess an extreme degree of control over an individual's actions through vocal command for roughly 24 hours before the effects become negligible. In addition, it is alleged that the production of this venom is aided by the apparent modification of hiss mouth to be similar in appearance to a snake's, though no evidence has ever been produced to back this claim.
